Chapter Fourty

A/N Happy Easter if you celebrate it and if not happy Sunday :) If you have an idea for a fic but you don't think you can write it, message me. I need ideas.

Harry is the one to walk into my room first, his sleepy eyes looking up at me.

"We're moving today, Ashton." He smiles but I push him out of my room.

It's all happening so fast. Luke, leaving. It almost seems fake.

"We're going to start for the new house in ten minutes so be ready." My mother says on the other side of my locked door. My family had been packing their own things while I was at Luke's apparently.

Why did it have to be today? Why couldn't they have given me a couple days. I can't even say goodbye to Michael or Calum. Why do we have to leave at all.

I place my two bags that are filled with clothes by the door. I turn and look at my room. The small amount of stuff I do have is all in boxes near my furniture.

I sigh, I don't want this to be the last time I see this place.

Wiping tears from my face I head downstairs where the rest of my family silently waits.

Harry is excited, he's already dragging his bag to the car, my mother laughs quietly at him and helps.

"I'm so glad you're willing to do this." My dad looks at me.

I didn't even have a choice.

I walk outside then stand in front of the house and watch my dad, my mother and Harry in the car waiting.

He shuts the front door behind him and locks it. I choke a little, holding back tears.

He places the key under a potted plant that I assume the movers will take.

"Ready?" He asks but doesn't wait for my response as he walks around me and gets into the car.

The house isn't moving, it isn't making any attempt to keep me here, to stop me from leaving and as I turn and look down the road and see no sign of a motorcycle I realize Luke isn't either.

My eyes close for a few seconds before I get into the car. As my dad starts to drive away I lean my head against the window. My thoughts drift off to sleep.
