"You're late again Friar." My dad said to Lucas as he walked in 20 mins late to detention.

Lucas sat down at a desk. "Sorry sir, I couldn't keep those girls off me." Lucas winked at me and I shook my head at him.

"Well you're going to have to stay back a extra 20 mins to make up for it." My dad told Lucas as he wrote on the chalkboard.

"Whatever." Lucas replied to him and stuck his feet up on the desk in front of him, which was where Maya was sitting.

Maya looked at Lucas's dirty sneakers sitting on her desk. "Move your feet off of my desk."

"And what if I don't? " He smirked at her.

"Then I'll feel obligated to punch you in the face." Maya snapped at him.

"You wouldn't hurt a fly." Lucas whispered into her ear.

"You're not a fly." she replied back and pushed his feet of her desk.

"Do you guys not know how to read? The board says no talking. You know the rules, Maya." Mr.Matthews told them before his phone began to ring. "I have to take this call, remember no talking." My dad left the room while to take the call.

Lucas got up from his desk and started walking to the other door. "Will someone be my look out? I'm going to sneak out for a bit. " No one got up to be his look out. "Hello? Did you guys not hear me? Someone be my lookout."

"Be your own look out, Friar. None of us are going to risk getting more detention because of you. " Maya responded to Lucas.

"Yeah, we already got a whole month of detention because of Maya." Farkle told them, rolling his eyes.

Maya cut her eyes at him. "Shut up, Farkle. It is your fault were in here."

"My fault? How is that?" Farkle asked her.

"If you didn't mess everything up last year then we would all still be friends, and none of us would be in detention right now."

"My fault? Last year was my fault?"

Oh no, their talking about last year. Talking about it always make me feel weird, but now I was feeling clammy and it felt like a hundred degrees in the room.

"Riley, are you okay? You don't look so good." Lucas asked looking at me, then both Maya and Farkle started staring at me.

I looked back and forth between them all. I had to get out of this room, my head was now pounding and I wasn't feeling so good. I got up from my desk and headed out the classroom. I heard them calling after me, but I couldn't turn around, my legs felt numb and my head kept pounding harder and harder.

The staircase was the last thing I saw before I fainted.
