I do not remember falling asleep last night, but I surely remember waking up very late this morning. I woke up at seven and school started at seven-twenty.

I hurried getting ready this morning. My mama was yelling at me which didn't help. I was stressed about the fight and stressed about waking up late, I did not need her threats this morning.

When I was finally ready to go, I waited by the front door for my Mama. "Mama, where are you at? You were yelling at me to hurry and now you're not even ready to leave! "

My Mama walked towards the door, she was mad as fire. "Lucas Friar! Do you want to be sent to the shed this afternoon when you get back?! "

I quickly shook my head and headed out the door. She followed behind me and we got into the car.

When my Mama dropped me off at school I was very late. It was seven fourty-two. I ran up the stairs and into the entrance of school. I stopped at the classroom door and slowly walked in.

This was the first time I was ever late to class, since I moved to New York.

"Mr.Friar, You're late." Mr.Matthews said as slowly walked to my desk

I took my seat and said to him. "I know sir, its just-" I looked at Farkle, who was looking straight ahead. "I got caught up."

Mr.Matthews nodded and began the lesson. I hoped he would go very slow and that this class period wouldn't end, so Farkle and I did not have to fight.

I glanced at Farkle throughout the class time, he was like a statue. He faced forward the entire time and didn't open his mouth to speak once. Hopefully, he was rethinking this fight and is deciding it is a bad thing to do. Yes, I know I could beat Farkle in the fight and I know that I can break him, but that's not why I am worried. I am worried, because he is my friend and I know that this fight will change things between us.

Ring, ring.

The school bell interrupted my thoughts and people began leaving the class. I quickly packed my things and headed out. Maybe I could go hide out somewhere. Wait, I can't go hide out somewhere, because then they'd think I'm a wimp and can't beat up Farkle.

When I arrived at the stairwell there was already a crowd of people and Farkle was standing against the wall. When I approached the stairs he looked up at me and I could feel everyone watching us.

As Farkle got closer to me everyone began to chant "fight, fight, fight, fight."

"Farkle! Lucas!" I heard Riley call our names out.

Farkle and I both looked up at her. As she was walking up the stairs Farkle told her "Stay out of this, Ry."

"Why are you two doing this?" Riley asked, ignoring Farkle telling her to stay away.

"Because, he wanted a fight!" I told her.

"So that makes it right to actually fight?"

"You ready, Friar?" Farkle asked, pushing me against the wall.

"Farkle, stop." Riley tried getting between us, but I stopped her.

"No, Riley. If its a fight Farkle wants then a fight he is going to get." I shoved Farkle hard and he fell back a few steps.

I felt really bad about hurting Farkle, but he won't stop trying to fight me.

I was interrupted by my thoughts when I felt a punch to my side. Farkle punched me. Well, now he was asking for a fight. I hated to do this to him.

Farkle and I began throwing punches, but it was pretty hard doing so when Riley was right there trying to stop us. I heard Maya and Brandon yelling at her to get out of the way, but she refused to until we stopped. I cared about Riley and her safety, so I wish she would just listen to them.

"Ahhhhh!" I heard someone scream. After that everyone began screaming. Farkle and I both turned to see what happened. That's when we saw Riley and that's when everything changed.
