Lucas and I were on our third date, but this time without Maya and Farkle. the reason why that is, is because Maya dumped Farkle to go out with Rebel.
Farkle was not happy, he was at my bay window for hours crying. I felt so bad for him."I plan on taking you to the bakery." Lucas told me as he grabbed my hand.
I smiled. "Sounds good."
We walked into the bakery and sat down at a booth. Lucas went to go order us some muffins. I heard someone walk into the bakery and I waved. It was Farkle.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him
"I just came by to pick up some food. What are you doing here by yourself?" He asked and as he did Lucas showed up with our muffins.
"Actually, Farkle. I am here with Lucas, were going on a date."
Farkle's smile kind of faded. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt."
"You're fine." I told him.
"Well...I must get going. I'll see you guys tomorrow. "
"Bye, Farkle." We both said to Farkle as he walked off.
"Here is your muffin, my darling." Lucas handed me my muffin and I smiled.
I said "Thank you," and took a bite of it.
"Wow, this is really good."Lucas nodded. "Yeah it i-" Lucas was caught off by his cell phone ringing.
Lucas looked down at his phone then looked back up at me. "I'm sorry, it's my Mama. I have to take this." Lucas said as he got up from the table and went to go pick up the phone.
I sighed into the awkward silence. It had already been five minutes since Lucas was out there. What was taking him so long? I decided to go check on him and went outside. "Lucas? Lucas are you still out here?"
There was no response from Lucas. Where was he at? I grabbed my phone out and texted him asking where he was at.
"Sorry for cutting the date short, my mama just called telling me that I had to get home quickly. Some of my Texas friends had come down!! I hope you will understand."
Lucas texted back to me.Wow. He ditched me, his girlfriend, for some of his old buddies. And he didn't even tell me about it before he left me!
I walked back into the bakery and grabbed all my belongings before I headed back to my house.
An hour passed and I was sitting at my bay window looking at the stars when I heard a knock on my window. I opened my window and Farkle came in.
"Riley." Farkle smirked as he flipped his hair.
"Farkle!" I smiled widely at him.
"I didn't think you would be home so early from your date." Farkle said as he took a seat at my bay window.
"Oh, well you see. Lucas had to leave to go see some of his Texas friends who had come to visit."
"So he ditched you?" Farkle looked at me. He had a protective look in his eye.
"Um, well.." I sighed. "Something like that."
"Wow, what a jerk." He shook his head. "I wouldn't ever ditch you on a date."I smiled. "Thanks, Farkle. I am glad you are here, you always seem to cheer me up."
"I'll always be here for you Riley." Farkle said as he took my hand.
Farkle was really acting weird, like he was being overly concerned. I pulled my hand away from his hold, which was surprisingly firm. "Well, I think you should go so I can get ready for tomorrow."
He nodded and went it the bay window. Before I could close the window Farkle turned back around and flashed a smile. "Bye, Ry. I will see you tomorrow. "
"Yeah, see you tomorrow. "
