When the bell rang indicating it was time to switch classes, Lucas practically jumped out of his seat and ran out of class. Why was he in such a hurry? He had Visual Arts next class and he hated that class.
I looked over at Maya, who to my surprise, was already looking at me. The look on her face, however, didn't match mine. My facial expression had confusion written all over it. Maya's facial expression was full of fear. "What is it?" I asked her.
Maya didn't answer my question, so I turned to ask Farkle, but he was already gone. Where was he? I didn't see him get up and leave?
"Riles, I am going to tell you something, but you must not get involved." Maya finally said.
I nodded my head at her. "I won't."
"Well, Farkle planned to have a fight with Lucas after class." Maya told me, slowly.
Farkle fight Lucas? Yeah, like that could happen. Wait.... "Why?!" I asked Maya.
"I, um, don't really know. I just know that he threatened Lucas and now they plan to fight, right now."
"Right now?! I can't let them!!!" I yelled at Maya, as I went to walk out of them room, but she stopped me.
Maya tired pulling me back to my desk. "You can't, remember what I said? You must not get involved."
"So you're just going to let them fight?" I asked.
Maya nodded her head. "Uh, Yeah."
I got out of Maya's grip and shook my head. "I can't let them fight, I'm sorry Maya."
Maya tried calling after me, but I already left the room. I stopped at the stairwell. There on the stairs was Farkle and Lucas with kids surrounding them. It seems like everyone knew about the fight, but me. That must be why people were staring this morning.
"Farkle! Lucas!" I called their names out, as I made my way to them on the stairs. Out of all places to fight.
They both looked up at me when I called them. "Stay out of this, Ry." Farkle said to me as I got closer to them.
"Why are you two doing this?" I asked, ignoring Farkle telling me to stay away.
"Because, he wanted a fight!" Lucas told me.
"So that makes it right to actually fight?"
"You ready, Friar?" Farkle asked, pushing Lucas against the wall.
"Farkle, stop." I got tried getting between them, but Lucas stopped me.
"No, Riley. If its a fight Farkle wants then a fight he is going to get." Lucas shoved Farkle hard and he fell back a few steps.
Why on the stairs? Did they not know how dangerous this was? There were now students chanting "Fight" repeatedly.
Farkle and Lucas were throwing fists all over the place, when I heard a voice calling for me. I turned to see who it was and saw that it was Rebel. Maya was standing by him, telling him to get me out of this mess. So, Brandon tired getting threw the crowd of kids, but I couldn't leave just yet. Not until they stopped fighting.
I went back over to them fighting and continued trying to stop them, told them to stop, tried to push them away. That is, until it all went dark and last thing I heard were people screaming.
