No More Pain

-Jacob POV-

-5 Minutes Earlier-

The pain isn't stopping and not showing any signs of stopping soon. It is now becoming unbearable and the elder is still mixing liquids. He would glance over at me occasionally but other than that he tried to make no contact with me.

The pain had escalated one more time and thats when everything began to go blurry. The last thing I remember seeing was the elder rushing over to me and calling my name, that's when everything went black.

-Sam POV Present Time-

"W-w-what's wrong with him?" I asked struggling to keep my nervousness inside.

"He has went into Medically Induced coma," I looked at him trying not to look scared but i'm pretty sure I was failing. "From all the pain around his body and signals being sent to his brain, his body couldn't take it any more and his brain shut him down. The pain is still going through him, and he can still feel it all." He looked at me and then the Eldest before the eldest motioned him to leave.

After he walked away the eldest closed the door and looked at me.

"From what I have heard I would say he has 2 day before his brain completely shuts down from the pain and he... dies." He said the last word hesitantly and then looked at me. " He needs to be with his mate, Edward, just feeling the presence of each other should be able to help heal and the pain to stop."

"But there is one problem, my dad, he won't allow any of the Cullens near the house, and if they do come near, he will kill them." He looked at me frustrated then looked at Jacob then back at me.

"Convince him, i'm sure he would rather see his son with a man rather than his son in a casket." He looked at me with a stern look and I just simply nodded my head and left back to the house.

When I got back to the house my dad was sitting there at the table with a beer. He looked nervous and if I were in his shoes I would be to.

"Hey dad." He looked at me expectantly waiting for the news on Jacob.

"What's the news on Jake, have you heard anything?" He looked at me with worry full on his face and I sat down across from him.

"Well right now he is in Medically Induced Coma, from all the pain he was feeling at which caused his brain to just shut him down, but his body can still feel the pain and in two days he will die if he stays that way." I told this to him holding back the tears trying to escape through my eyes.

"What?!?! Is there anything that we can do to stop the pain, or at least wake him up??" He sounded like he was about to cry.

"There is one thing that we can do that could wake him up and stop the pain." He looked at me with expectant eyes and I took a deep breath. " You have to allow Jacob and Edward to be together again." He looked taken back then angered.

"There is no way I am allowing that filthy blood sucking BOY date my son." He rolled away from the table and I just sighed and went after him.

"What is your deal? Why do you have such a problem with Jacob being gay." He stopped and turned around looking at me coldly.

"My son is NOT gay and NEVER will be, he will wake up from this coma some way with out seeing that filthy blood sucker and he will marry a nice young LADY who will help him run the pack." He was about to take off again but i grabbed the handles to his wheelchair.

"So you're telling me you would rather have your own son die a miserable death, rather than have him live a long happy life with the one he loves, I know you are not that much of an ass hole so what's up?" He sighed defeated and looked at me with a serious look.

"Me and my father once seen a gay couple out in public one day, He told  me that being gay is for the weak and it only means that you are too pathetic to handle a woman's needs, he said if i was gay that he would disown me, I followed by that rule until now, I am being an asshole for keeping them away, I would rather see my son happy than him dead." I smiled and raced back to the elders house and when I seen the eldest i knew that something was wrong.

"I was able to get my dad to say yes." I stated approaching him. A look of relief seem to wash over his face.

"Sam, i'm so glad you're here you need to go get Edward right now then." I looked at him confused.

"Why? What's happened?" I ran to Jacob's room ignoring what the eldest was about to say.

When I got to Jacob's room I seen Jacob, he had looked worse than he did 30 minutes ago before I had left. His skin became dangerously pale and his hair lost it's color looking dull and his muscles weren't even muscles anymore they were just like lumps under a blanket, like skin and bones but with muscles in his arms. I turned around and looked at the eldest with a confused look.

"What happened? You said he had 2 day before he needed to see Edward." He looked at me with seriousness written all on his face.

"It seems that once his body shut down his inner wolf realized that he couldn't have his mate, so now his inner wolf is starting to shut down as well, and with a combination of that and the pain, he has 8 more minutes before he completely shuts down and dies." After he said that I rushed out of the building, straight to the Cullens house.

"When I arrived at their house 3 minutes have already gone by which gives me 5 minutes to get Edward there in time to heal Jacob. I knocked on the door and seen Carlisle approach the door.

"Young Sam, what brings you to our home?" He asked in the most polite way possible and motioned for me to come in.

"I'm here to see Edward, it's about Jacob." I heard a whoosh sound and Edward was suddenly in the room.

"What about Jacob?" He looked at me worried and I knew i had to tell him right now

I looked at my watch as 2 minutes have already passed. I looked at Edward, knowing he was reading my mind I told him about everything that has happened in the last 3 days and he sped out of the room. Carlisle looked at me a bit confused.

"I'll tell you guys later, I have to get back to the house." I jumped outside and phased in mid air running back to the house getting there in seconds.

-Edward's POV-

I ran as fast as I could, following Jacobs scent which led me to the elder house. I raced to the room Jacob was in which looked like a doctors office. A man approached me, he must be the eldest.

"Edward, Jacob is dying, he has one more minute left to live,he needs to feel the touch of his mate for him to heal properly." He looked at me with sad eyes and I slowly walked over to him, Sam was now in the room next to the elder. A tear slid down the side of my cheek, knowing that I did this to him, I ignored him and now this happened.

"I'm so sorry." Was all I said before softly kissing him on his warm pale lips. After a couple of seconds I leaned out of the kiss. After thirty seconds there was still no response from him, he just laid there motionless, and I closed my eyes letting all the tears fall. I was too late to save him.

"Edward."
