Just More Pain

I wasn't able to sleep the rest of the night, out of fear the awful pain would come back. I looked my alarm clock checking the time.

-4:00 am-

Might as well do something. I jumped out of my bed and walked down the stairs and to the living room. I wrote a note telling everyone I was going out and to not worry. I walked out of the door and stood there for a minute, enjoying the peace and quiet.

I started to run down the street, enjoying the cool air hitting my face. After about an hour the sun slowly started to rise and the sky became a baby blue color.

I stopped running, catching my breath for a couple of minutes. I sat down at the trunk of a tree closing my eyes leaning my head back exhausted.

All I can think about is Edward, I know it's only been a week since I last seen him but it feels like it has been an eternity since I last saw him. I just wish he was here with me right now, his voice could make all my problems and frustrations just melt right off my shoulders.

I got up and started on my way back home, the sun was already visible and I knew that if I didn't come home soon my dad would get angry... again.

When I walked through the door a heavy smell of bacon and eggs hit me, normally I would be excited to have breakfast, but I haven't been hungry lately.

"Jacob come eat, I just made you favorite." My dad looked at me and sat a plate down on the table.

"Sorry dad, I'm not really-" I was suddenly cut off by the pain coming back again worse than it was last night. I started scream just as I did the night before and I dropped to the ground, feeling very weak.

With every passing second the pain grew worse and worse. The entire pack came over to me and Sam picked me up and rushed me to what seemed to be the elders house. I still hadn't stopped my screaming and groaning. The elders could help me with the pain and figuring out how to stop it, I hope so at least.

The elders were rushing outside the minute they heard me screaming and gasping for help. Sam handed me to one of them and he took me to the pack healing room, it was the room where elders could help heal shape shifters if for some reason they could not heal on their own.

The pain was still getting stronger and the elder was rushing through his cabinets and drawers looking for something that could stop my pain.

-Sams POV-

The oldest elder took me to another room, I could still hear Jake's screaming and pleading for help. I wish I knew what was wrong so I could help him, that's why i'm here talking to the elder, he can give me some sort of answer.

"Sam, do you know anything about Jake's pain?" He asked me with a concerned look and I just shook my head.

"No all I know is that it started yesterday the day after-" I suddenly froze mid sentence. How could I be so stupid and oblivious.

"The day after what?" The elder asked, I almost forgot he was there. He looked at me with confusion and expectancy clear in his eyes.

"A week ago my dad and Jake had got into an argument, Jake imprinted on a male vampire, Edward Cullen, and my dad was pissed, he told Jake that if he ever seen those two together again that he would not hesitate to kill Edward. Jacob was devastated and was crying. Later that night I heard Edward come into Jacob's room and tried to comfort him, But Jacob pushed him away in order to keep him safe. He also woke up last night screaming and when I asked him about it all he said was stinging pain but he stopped screaming and I exited the room after a couple more minutes." He looked at me with complete worry in his face and if I were him I would be as well.

"Well he is obviously suffering from mate withdrawal, the pain is the inner wolfs way of saying i'm lonely, there are signals being sent to his brain that causes irritation to his pain vessels which causes the pain to be more and more aggravating to him, but as soon as he makes contact with his mate the pain should immediately stop." I was about to say something when the elder that took Jacob came into the room. There was obviously something wrong, he gave us a look that told us to follow him and we all rushed to the room Jake was in.

When we got to the room I was the first to enter and the only thing I seen was Jacob lying there on the bed with his eyes closed, not moving a single inch of his body.
