Chapter 23

RILEY'S POV:
We get to Aunty Scarlett's house and mummy carries me inside this time. She knocks on the door but Aunty Scarlett and Rose don't answer it.... Uncle Chris does!! "Uncle Cwis!!" I squeal and jump onto him. He only just catches me but I haven't seen him in a while and I missed him. He takes me inside with mamma and shuts the front door. Mamma takes my shoes, coat and hat off and then they take me into the living room where lots of other people are. Mamma stands me on the floor and then kneels down to the same height as me. "Honey I don't know if you'll remember who these people are as the last time you saw them you were just a little baby but I want you to meet my siblings" mamma says. I frown and tilt my head and then I hear someone say "Aw she's just like a little Wanda!" mamma looks up and smiles. "Baby this is Mary-Kate" she tells me. "Hey Riley" the woman says. Mamma lifts me up and the Mary-Kate comes closer. "Hi" I mumble. "Aw she's too cute!" Mary-Kate says. Wait! "Mamma why dey two?" I ask. There are two Mary-Kates!! "They're twins honey. This ones Ashley" mamma says.

LIZZIE'S POV:
I didn't think to explain that Mary-Kate and Ashley were twins! Ry's reaction was cute though. "No I'm Mary-Kate!" Ashley says. Riley looks at them both for a second before whining and hiding her face in my neck. "Don't be mean to her!" I say to the twins. They both laugh a little before going off to chat to some other people. I go over and see Scar talking to Robert. "Hey" I say. "Hi. What's up with Riley?" Robert asks looking at Ry hiding her face. "The twins were confusing her" I say laughing a little. Ry lifts her head up when she sees Rose. She starts wiggling around in my arms but I don't want to put Ry down as there are quite a few people here and I want to make sure she knows everyone first. "Mamma down" she whines but I re-adjust her on my hip. "Not yet baby. I want you to meet a few more people then you can go and play with Rose" I tell her. This earns me a loud whine and a slap. "Hey come on" I say to her. "Me down" she says crossing her arms. "This ones feisty!" Robert says looking at Ry. "Hmm and if she hits mamma again she'll be in trouble too" I say. Ry frowns at me before cuddling into me again. I decide to just let it slide as there are lots of people in here and I can tell she might be a bit stressed which is why I'm holding her.

We talk to people for a little longer and I introduce her to my other siblings, Courtney, Trent and Jake before we all head through for lunch. I manage to persuade Ry to sit in her high-chair and then get her a plastic knife and fork that match Rose's. After Scarlett hands out all the food we start chatting having our own conversations. I'm talking to Scar, Chris E, Chris Hemsworth and Ashley when I overhear Ry and Rose having their own conversation about what Santa got them. It's so cute so I tap Scar's shoulder and she listens too.

RILEY'S POV:
Everyone starts talking and Rose tells me about what Santa got her. I tell her what Santa got me. I know some things she got because we opened our gifts together but it's so much fun listening to what Rose says! "And I got some more colouring in things because I love to colour!" Rose tells me. "I got dolly. She got lellow hair and pink dwess!" I say as I try and put some mashed potato on my fork. Me and Rose keep talking until Rose taps my hand and points to mummy and Aunty Scarlett looking at us. "What are you looking at us for?" Rose asks Aunty Scarlett. "No reason we were just listening to how cute you two were" Aunty Scarlett replies. "Do you want some help Ry?" mamma asks me and I nod. She moves my high-chair closer to her and then feeds me bits. I try and feed myself whilst she stops and eats her food and then let her feed me when she wants to. It's really fun and Rose ends up feeding me some food when she finishes.

ROSE'S POV:
Today is going so good! It's one of the best days of my life! Me and Ry-Ry talk about what Santa got us and then she cant really feed herself as she's still only a baby so I help Aunty Lizzie feed her too! After Ry-Ry finishes we all wait for our pudding. I look out across the table and see there are lots and lots of people. No wonder it was so loud! Mummy said that there would be lots of people but I didn't think she meant this many. Everyone from her work is here and some family people. "Hi mummy" I say following her into the kitchen. "Hey honey" mummy says getting something out a cupboard. "What's that?" I ask her. "This is adult juice" mummy says. "Can I have some?" I ask. She shakes her head "No it's adult juice. You can have some kids juice if you go sit back at the table" she tells me. "Okay!" I call running back to the table.

LIZZIE'S POV:
I get up from the table with Ry's plate and cup and see Rose running past me. I laugh a little and go into the kitchen. It's just me and Scar and it's very quiet compared to the dining room. "You okay?" I ask Scar who's getting a few wine bottles out the cupboard. "Yep just grabbing the adult juice" she says making me laugh. "Adult juice?" I ask. "Rose wanted some so I had to improvise" she tells me laughing at herself. "Aw she's so cute. Did you hear what Rose and Ry were talking about?" I ask her and she nods. "Santa. It was so cute!" Scar says and I agree. "Ry was talking about her 'lellow' haired doll that she got. It was so cute" I say and Scar nods. "Help me carry these through?" she asks and I grab two wine bottles and she grabs the other three. We take them out to the table and set them down. "We have two bottles of red and three white wines so help yourself" Scar says setting all the wine glasses out. I grab some plastic wine glasses and fill them with apple juice and hand them out to all the kids at the table. I pass Ry one and she stares at it. "It's okay you can drink it Ry" I tell her sitting down. "No me want dat one" she says pointing to mine. "Nuh uh not this one baby. You're much too young for that" I tell her. She frowns and tries to grab it but the straps in her high-chair pull her back. "Ry look you have this one" I tell her moving her plastic wine glass closer to her. "No want dat one!!" she says loudly. I pull her onto my lap and grab my wine glass. I'm hoping she takes a sip and hates it. I grab my wine glass and tip it a little to her mouth. She takes a sip and then motions for more. I hear some laughs around the table that came from people who must have heard Ry whining so watched what I did. "God she's an alcoholic already!" Scar teases as Ry tries to take another sip of my wine. "No baby you can have yours now" I tell her passing her the plastic glass. She takes it and drinks it happily. We have the rest of the meal with her sat on my lap but I don't mind as she's so cute!
