Chapter 29

LIZZIE'S POV:
We pay for tickets and go inside with a map. "Okay what animals do we want to see first girls?" Scarlett asks kneeling in front of Ry's buggy. "Lions!" Rose says "No I want lephelants!" Ry says. "Lions!" "Lephelants!!" Ry yells. "Hey don't shout we can see everything" Scar says to them. "How about we just follow the map?" I suggest. "Yeah we can do that. Hold my hand Rose" Rose grabs her hand and we head of to the first animal. Monkeys. Now I don't know how Ry is going to react and she's never been to a zoo before so it's all new to her but I'm sure she wont mind them. It's the lions and louder animals I'm more worried about her freaking out over. I push her buggy up to the little glass part and she looks inside. Some monkeys are just wandering around but others are jumping around clearly excited. Ry frowns at a monkey that's cleaning another monkey. "What do?" she asks looking up at me. I kneel down next to the buggy and say "That monkey is giving the baby monkey a clean. Its like when I use the wet-wipes to clean your mouth and hands" I tell her. "Oh" she says before looking back. As we're about to go a monkey jumps up at the glass and scares Ry and Rose. Ry starts crying loudly and Rose runs behind Scar. I bend down and lift Ry out of the buggy and calm her down a little but her crying has bought attention to me and Scar and before we know it people are starting to take photos of us. God it's so annoying. We are mothers and we want to take our kids out and do things with them without our lives being pasted on the internet! "Can you please just stop? My daughter is clearly upset and she doesn't need cameras in her face" I snap as I grab the buggy with one hand and balance Ry on my hip holding her with my other hand. Scar follows us with Rose holding her hand. Rose is fine now but Ry isn't. She's still crying so I decide to sit her on a bench. "Why are you crying?" I ask her. "Monkey scare" she says. "But it's gone now okay? Can we take a nice deep breath and calm down?" I ask and she nods a little. She takes a few deep breaths before standing up and running around with Rose.

RILEY'S POV:
After that monkey scared me, me and Rose start running around as we just want to see all the animals. We get to another animal space and mamma lifts me up so I can see. Rose also gets lifted up so we're the same height! I look inside the pen thing and see Rhinos! "Mamma look!" I say pointing to the animals. "Yeah do you like them?" she asks me. I look at them before noticing "Mamma look. Dey same colour as lelephants!" I say pointing at them again. "Clever baby! They are" mamma says before kissing me all over my face. I giggle and she puts me down. Me and Rose run around so much my legs start getting tired so I sit down on the floor to have a break. "What's up honey?" mamma asks me. "Tired" I mumble. "Do you want some lunch?" she asks me. "Pwease!!" I say jumping off the floor and running over to mamma.

We go to the zoo café for lunch and much to my hate mamma makes me sit in a high-chair. I hate these high-chairs they're uncomfy and make my butt hurt but mamma says I have to sit in it to eat so I do. I get the same as Rose, mac n cheese with a fruit shoot. Mamma takes the lid of mine and I drink it happily. It's like a bottle but it's not for babbies. "Here's your food. Hope you enjoy your meal" the lady says putting our food infront of us. I get mamma's help to feed me as I don't want my clothes to be dirty but at the end I try to do it myself and I don't spill! "Good job" mamma says putting me on the floor. "Now then. Shall we go to the inside area or stay outside?" she asks me and Rose. "What's in the inside areas?" Rose asks mamma. "I think it's things like birds and things that love the warmth" mamma tells her. "Yes lets go there!" Rose says grabbing my hand. I nod as I'm not too sure what's going on and just follow Rose and Mamma and Aunty Scarlett to the area. "Okay Ry I want to carry you through here please" mamma says putting the buggy at the exit as we aren't allowed it inside. "Why?" I ask her. "Because I just want you to be safe okay?" she says lifting me up. "Otay" I say as we go inside. As soon as we open the door there's a massive hot wind that hits us. "Wow mamma it hot!" I say and some people behind us laugh a little. Mamma walks us in more and Aunty Scarlett picks Rose up too. We go through these plastic curtain things and see loads of birds flying around! It's so cool!

LIZZIE'S POV:
I wasn't sure how Ry was going to react to this part of the zoo given that she doesn't like it when the birds in town go near her. I lift her up just to be on the safe side. Scar does the same thing with Rose and we carry the girls inside. As soon as we walk in Ry says "Wow mamma it hot!" which makes us and some people behind us laugh a little. As soon as we see all the birds and things Ry's face lights up. "Wow mamma! Dey everywhere" Ry says as she starts pointing out birds to me. Okay I had no reason to be worried the only thing I have to worried about is Ry now wants a pet bird. "Pwease mamma? It fly and be good!" Ry says as I clip her in her buggy. "No Ry. We cant have a bird. I'm sorry" I say as the enclosure woman laughs and says "I have a pet parrot and he's a real cheeky one!" Ry looks at her and says "I want bird but mamma say no Ry" the woman laughs a little and says "I understand your mams famous and travels so she cant have a bird. Maybe you could name one of these and we pretend its yours" the woman says. "Wait she can name one?" I ask. "Indeed she can. Fluffy just had a baby and we need a name. How about you four come with me and you can see it and name it" the woman says. "And I'm Tracey" she adds on as we follow her inside a plastic shelter building. "This here is the mam and the baby bird. What do you think he should be called?" Tracey asks Ry. Ry looks at the bird before saying "Kevin!" we all laugh and the woman writes something down. "It's official. Kevin the bird!" she says. The smile on Ry's face is the best thing in the world! "Thank you so so much" I say as we walk outside again. "No problem. It'll stop the staff fightin over who names it!" Tracey says before we say bye and then head off to look around the zoo more.
