Chapter 21

LIZZIE'S POV:

After I put Ry down for a nap I go back and me, Chris and Scar chat about the arrangements for tomorrow. We decided that we are all going to her place from 11 and then me and Ry will stay over so Ry and Rose can play all day boxing day. Rose overhears and starts running around all excited. She keeps jumping around and then we hear Ry whimpering from her room. "Rose you woke Ry up!" Scarlett says. "Sorry" Rose mumbles before asking "Please can I come and get Ry up with you!?" "Of course you can" I say taking her hand. She skips as we go down to Ry's room. I open the door and Ry is sitting up in bed with her top on the floor. "Excuse me missy!" I say lifting her onto my lap. She giggles and points to her belly. "You took it off?" I ask and she nods. "Tickle!" she says. "Rose you want to help me tickle Ry?" Rose giggles and comes and tickles Ry who squeals and rolls around. After we stop tormenting her I lift her up grabbing her top and Mr Cuddles and we go into the living room. "Did someone sleep well?" Scarlett laughs as I put a tired looking Ry on her lap. "I dweam bout Santa!" she says. "You did?" I ask and she nods. "I did!!" she squeals excitedly. I try to get Ry's top back on her but end up with her in just a vest so I guess that's alright. If we go out I guess we could just put a thick blanket on her. "I'm gonna finish you know what. I'll see you later" I say to Scar who nods and watches Ry and Rose running around playing horses.

SCARLETT'S POV:
After Liz gets Ry in a vest she goes to finish wrapping the gifts for tomorrow. The girls have eaten lunch and had a nap so they're full of energy. It's kinda cold outside so me and Chris are brainstorming things to do inside so we don't have to change the girls outfits. "How about we play a board game?" Chris asks. "Will it be hard for Ry to play?" I ask. "We can play an easy one or she can play with you." He says. "Yeah we could do that" I say. "Do you know where Liz keeps the games?" he asks. "In the cupboard under the TV" I tell him and he goes to grab them. "Girls come here" I say and Rose takes Ry's hand and leads her over to me. They're so cute together! They're like sisters. "We're going to play a board game or something" I tell them. "YAY!!!" Rose squeals and jumps around again. "You can play with me Ry" I tell her and she nods and crawls onto my lap. "Can we colour after?" Rose asks and I nod. "Yay!" she squeals again. I laugh and pull her onto my other knee "Okay you need to calm down a little" I say. She giggles a little and Ry and Rose mess around with their hands whilst Chris brings all the games over. "Which one?" he asks placing them all out on the floor. "Hippo!!" Rose says grabbing Hungry Hungry Hippos. "Okay we can play that one. Ry what one do you want to play?" Chris asks her. She looks at them all before picking Charades up. I choose snakes and ladders and Chris hangman. We deicde to play hangman first as that's an easy game for Ry. Chris chooses a word first and draws 5 lines. "Okay girls. Time to guess!" he says smiling. "A!" Rose says and Chris writes 'a' on a line. "Well done" I say to Rose. "T" Ry says. Chris laughs and writes a 't' on the line. "Clever girl Ry!" I say tickling her a little. After about three minutes Rose squeals "It's Santa! The words Santa!!" Chris laughs and writes in the last letter. "Well done Rose" I say giving her a kiss. "My game now!!" she says throwing it at Chris.

After about an hour of playing board games Ry starts to get restless and I can tell she wants Liz. "Do you want a drink Riley?" I ask as she whines on the floor. She shakes her head and grabs Mr Cuddles. "Are you sleepy?" I ask and she shakes her head again. "Want mummy" she mumbles. I lift her up "I know but mamma's doing something really important" I tell her. Ry whines again and Rose climbs onto the sofa and stands up so she's level with Ry. "Do you want to help me colour something for Aunty Lizzie?" Rose asks Ry. "Pwease" Ry says. "That's so kind of you baby" I say to Rose as the takes Ry's hand and leads her over to the little colouring table. Me and Chris have a well earned cup of coffee whilst we watch the girls colour for a little.

LIZZIE'S POV:
I check the time after I finish wrapping the last gift and see it's already 4:50pm! Today has gone so fast! I pack all the wrapping things away and then go into the living room. Rose and Ry are colouring and Scar and Chris are sitting drinking coffee and chatting. I shut the door and Ry looks up. "MUMMY!!" She screams and runs as fast as her legs can carry her towards me. I laugh and lift her up "I think somebody missed me!" I say and she nods. "What have you been doing?" I ask everyone as I sit on the sofa. "We played horses" Rose tells me sitting on Scar's lap next to me. "And we played some board games" Scar says. "And we colour" Ry adds on wiggling down and grabbing the piece of paper. I look at it and see what they've coloured.
