Chapter 28

LIZZIE'S POV:
I go back to bed and finally fall asleep after worrying for a while about Ry. I listen out for cries or her calling my name but they dont come so i decide to close my eyes allowing sleep to consume me. I go to sleep cuddled in Scar's arms.

(7am)

I feel a little person climbing on top of me. "Mamma?" the person whispers. I smile a little "Mamma me know you wake" Ry says poking me. "Mammas tired bubs. Can we sleep a little more?" I whisper. I open my eyes and see Ry pouting with her little arms crossed. "Why are you grumpy huh?" I ask. She scowls at me and jumps off the bed and walks away. Do I go after her? I look at the time and see it's seven in the morning so I yawn and get up.

RILEY'S POV:
I run through to Aunty Scarlett and whine loudly. "What's up?" Aunty Scarlett asks me. "Mamma" I whine loudly again. "Your mammas in my bed honey" she tells me. "Nooooo" I whine falling onto the floor. "What are you doing on the floor baby?" mamma asks lifting me up onto her hip. I've woken up grumpy today and I don't know why. I think it might be because I was sad last night because mamma wasn't there and then I lost Mr Cuddles. "Why are you being a grumpy butt?" mamma asks me. "I no grumpy" I snap scowling at mamma. "Do you need to go back to sleep?" mamma asks me and I shake my head. "Okay well we're going out to the zoo today so you cant be grumpy okay?" she adds sitting me in the high-chair. "I no grumpy!" I shout at her hitting my hands on the table. That was a mistake. I get sharp pains in my hands and they go warm. I start crying loudly and mamma lifts me up again. "Well that was silly wasn't it" she says rocking me gently. She kisses my hands better as Rose walks in. "Why is Ry-Ry crying?" she asks rubbing my leg. "Because she got hurt" mamma says. Rose cuddles me better and we eat breakfast together.

LIZZIE'S POV:

After Ry eats it's now time to get her changed. I'm stressing a little about this part as Ry isn't in the best of moods today. I lift her up with Effy and we go into the bathroom. I place her changing mat on the floor and grab some grey spotty leggings and a pink top with a jumper. "Lie down" I tell Ry. She thinks for a minute before sitting on the mat. I guess that will do. I set all her things out hoping this wont be too hard. I lie Ry down and pull her pjs off. I change her diaper quickly before getting her changed without too much fuss. I brush her teeth and sit her on my lap. "Do you want me to do your hair?" I ask her. She nods and sits happily on my lap. "What do you want?" I ask her. She thinks for a second before saying "Two pony" I think she means bunches. I grab the hair brush and she sits still whilst I do her hair.

"All done!" I say lifting her up. "Tanks mamma" she says. She obviously cheered up whilst I got her changes which means she wont be too bad in the car. Hopefully!

I get myself ready and do my hair, teeth and make-up before going into the living room. Rose and Ry have the same hair-style which is adorable and are both playing with the elephants. "Okay who's ready to go!?" Scar asks excitedly. "ME!!" the girls scream jumping around. I laugh and pick Ry up. "Mamma ready?" she asks me. "Yes mammas excited" I say grabbing Ry's backpack and buggy and going out to the front door. We go up to Scar's car and I grab the car-seat Scar lent me for Ry. I set Ry on the floor whilst I put all the things in the boot. I turn around and see Ry playing in the grass. "Hey missy. I said to stay near me!" I say calling over to her. She giggles and waddles over to me. "Sorry mamma" she giggles. I open the car door and sit Ry in her car-seat. She immediately arches her back. "Sit down Ry" I say to her. "No car seat!" she shouts moving so she isn't even in the seat. "Hey. Sit on the seat" I say to her. She scowls at me and throws herself into the seat but she keeps moving her body around. "Riley stop it!" I say trying to hold her still. "NO!" she screams kicking her arms and legs around. I sigh trying not to loose my temper. "Riley please can you let mamma strap you in?" I ask the screaming toddler. "NO!" she yells at me. She then moves on to trying to hit me. By her trying to hit me it keeps her legs and most of her top half still so I manage to strap her in. I shut the car door and get into the front. "I'm sorry Scar" I say. "Nope it's fine. Rose used to hate the car seat too" Scar tells me. I sigh as she starts the car.

RILEY'S POV:

I hate hate hate hate hate the car seat! It's the worst thing ever. It stops you from moving around much and I like moving around. I have to sit in it but I don't want to so I just keep moving. Mamma manages to strap me in and I just cry and scream as Aunty Scarlett starts the car.

After a little I get tired so decide to shut my eyes. I end up falling asleep and wake up to Rose whispering my name. "Mamma?" I say as she lifts me out the car. "I sowwy" I add. "It's okay baby. Mamma should have let you calm down first" she says kissing my head. "Do you want to go in the buggy for now?" she asks me and I nod. I cant be bothered to walk right now so I let mamma clip me in. I can move around in the buggy so I don't hate it as much. We go up to this woman in a box and mamma and Aunty Scarlett pay for some paper things and then we go inside.
