Chapter 26

RILEY'S POV:
Me and Rose start building a pillow fort or at least we get all the things ready but we're too small to actually put anything up so instead me and Rose just jump on all the blankets and pillows that we find. "Girls you better not hurt yourselves. We've had enough tears for one day!" Aunty Scarlett calls through to us. Me and Rose just giggle and lie down on all the massive comfy pile. We chat for about five minutes before Aunty Scarlett and mamma come in with a tray of food. There are four plates and each has little bits like ham, cheese, grapes, olives and other stuff. "Okay we got a bit of everything. You dont have to eat it all if you don't want to" mamma tells me pulling me onto her lap on the floor. "Why mine small?" I ask pointing to my plate. All my things are cut up small. "I no want small I want big like Rose's!" I whine pointing to Rose's plate. "But baby you aren't as big as Rose yet. When you get bigger you can have it big okay?" mamma tells me. I think for a second and nod. I eat some ham and cheese and then point to this round green thing. "What dat mamma?" I ask as I know it isn't a grape. "That's a green olive. You wanna try it?" she asks me. I nod and she puts it in my mouth. I chew for a second before pulling a face and spitting it out in mammas hand. "Eww! Dat no good!" I say sticking my tongue out. Mamma, Aunty Scarlett and Rose all laugh at my reaction whilst I lean and grab my juice. I take a big drink and then continue to eat my other nice food pushing all my green round things onto mammas plate.

"You finished?" mamma asks and I nod. She takes my plate whilst Aunty Scarlett wipes my mouth. As soon as mamma comes back in she lifts me up and we go over our plan for the fort. "It has to have the Tv so we can see!" Rose says to Aunty Scarlett. "Well worst case we can use my laptop" Aunty Scarlett replies. "It has be big!" I say stretching my arms out as big as they go. "It does?" mamma asks. "Uh hu cos you be sleep too!" I say pointing to Aunty Scarlett and mamma. "We aren't sleeping in your fort honey. We wont fit" Aunty Scarlett says. "You be sleep with me?" I ask mamma. "No honey. Me and Aunty Scarlett are having our own sleepover. You're going to be a big girl and sleep with Rose" mamma says and I nod. At least she gets a sleepover with Aunty Scarlett. We work together to build the pillow fort and after it looks so good!!

LIZZIE'S POV:
The pillow fort looks alright. It turned out how we wanted it to. We all climb in and Scar sets her laptop up. I quickly grab some snack and then cuddle up with Ry on one side and Scar on the other. "What are we watching?" she asks us. "FROZEN!!" The girls shout and me laugh before putting Frozen on. We're about half way through the movie when I hear faint snores coming from Ry. I smile a little as she wraps her little body around me. I tap Scar's arm and she looks too. Ry is too cute. She has her little belly sticking out from her top, her legs sprawled everywhere and of course her elephant tucked under one arm. We continue watching the movie and by the end Ry has woken up. "Did you have a good nap?" I asks sitting her on my knee. She giggles "I no nap" I nod my head "You did nap!" I say and she giggles again. "And you know what?" Scar says. Ry looks as Scar "Your tummy was sticking out!" Scar says lying Ry on the floor and tickling her belly. Ry giggles and squeals rolling around until Scar stops tickling and lifts her up. "Okay it's already eight o'clock. I reckon we get ready for bed and then see what the time is. If we have time we can watch an episode of something as long as it's short" Scar says and I agree. I lift Rose up and we go into Scar's room. We swap kids and I grab Ry's bag and go to the bathroom whilst Scar helps get Rose dressed. I change Ry's diaper before putting her in some cute little bunny pjs.

"What animal is that?" I ask her sitting her up. She thinks for a second before saying "Bunny!" "Clever girl!" I say lifting her up and opening the door so Rose and Scar could come in. I brush Ry's teeth but she ends up taking the toothbrush from me and attempting to do her own. She gets toothpaste all over her face which is cute. I wash her face and then me and Scar leave so Rose can use the toilet. We go and sit in the fort and wait for Rose. Scar plays with Ry whilst we wait and I clean up the living room. I'm a little nervous about how this is going to go. Ry doesn't usually sleep by herself and I know it's bad that I haven't really sleep trained her yet it's just I'd rather save these moments and do it later before my baby girl grows up. It's crazy how fast they grow. Ry's almost two and a half and it feels like last week I had just had her. I hope time doesn't go by too fast as I love having Ry as a baby. Scar figures out I'm trying to distract myself and comes into the kitchen. She says Rose has come back and is playing with Ry. "What's up and don't even tell me it's nothing" she asks. "I don't know I guess I'm worrying about putting Ry to bed" I say washing up a plate. "Why?" Scar asks leaning against the counter. "She hasn't slept by herself in ages and I just don't want her to get upset or if something happens in the night and she cant get to me" I ramble. "What will happen in the night?" Scar asks. "I don't know. But something can" I say drying my hands. "Has she got a diaper on?" Scar asks and I nod. "So she won't have an accident. Does she get nightmares often?" she asks and I shake my head. "So she probably wont get a nightmare and worst case if Ry really cant get to sleep I'll bet she'll wake Rose up and Rose can take her to us." Scar says. I look down at my hands. "It's okay. She isn't a baby anymore. She can sleep by herself without over heating or getting too cold. It's all okay" Scar says wrapping her arms around my waist. "Plus you'll have me so you wont be alone in bed" she adds making me smile. She kisses my forehead, takes my hand and we go into the living room to put the girls to bed.
