It was around 10 am when Akshad woke up, as soon as he saw the clock he realized he had a meeting and issues to solve before evening so he could meet Meera before time to make a good impression on her.
As soon as he got ready, he went to attend a meeting, skipping breakfast. Mrs. Arora felt worried for his health as he always skips his breakfast and meals .
In the evening,
Akshad reached the cafe brew as decided 10 min before the decided time. He waited for 30 min, still no sign of Meera. He ordered a coffee for himself, opened his tab and started checking important mails.
He tried calling her one but her number was switched. "I should wait till lunch time for her" he thought to himself and soon got engrossed in his work.
On the other hand Meera was walking very fast on the road to reach the cafe as the cab she took broke down on the way. Due to rush hour she couldn't find a lift and her mobile was out of battery so she could not book a new cab.
The only way to reach the cafe was by walking. After 30 min of walking she reached the cafe only to find Akshad engrossed in some work, he was surrounded by laptop, tab, talking on phone and scanning some documents.
"Hey, Akshad...?" Meera called him a little bit unsure of the decision on disturbing him .
"Huh... oh Meera finally you came"
He got up and gave her a hug to her surprise. It felt good to be in his arms .
"Sorry for the delay, actually my cab broke down so I had to walk my way here" she told him all that happened truthfully.
Hearing this he felt disappointed in her choice "Meera you know I own and drive a vehicle right?"
"Yes I know " she said a bit unsure
" Then why didn't you call me as soon as your cab broke from the driver's phone? I would have come there to pick you up!" He said no emotion in his voice. But inside he felt upset with her.
"Actually I was afraid you would be angry or worse leave the cafe without meeting me. I know what I am saying does not make sense but in simple words you scare me a little with your temper."
"Meera I have only one thing to say to you on this. Please try to understand me, I get angry because many people took me lightly before so to make an impact I became like this. But I assure you I will try to Keep all the Sassiness away whenever I am with you '' Akshad told her holding her hand emotions deep in his eyes. He felt the anger leaving his body.
Meera instantly believed everything he said and that's how they did their dinner together sharing life stories and things which they try to avoid sharing with other people.
After dinner they went to eat ice cream, Meera chose belgium chocolate flavor while he just stared at her and a smile formed on his face as she spilled her ice cream like a kid. Then he dropped her home.
Meera's mother was waiting in the front garden for her. Unable to say anything to her mother, Meera quickly went to her room blushing.
Seeing Mrs Arora, Akshad quickly went and greeted her.
"Hello, Aunty, I am sorry for being late. It won't happen again." he said head down
"It's okay beta, Soon you two will get married. Try to give each other some space and some more time for your family till then." Mrs Arora Said with mischief in her eyes. She was trying to fake disappointment on her face.
"Yes, Aunty. I promise any mistakes will not happen before marriage. Mom must be waiting for me at home. I will take your leave now." He bent down and took her blessings & quickly rushed into his car. He almost ran back as if he was a thief.
"Drive safe, beta" Mrs Rashi Arora said, chuckling and went inside to sleep.
Meera Watched him drive away from her balcony & went to sleep too.
