Sebastian's POV:
Today I'm going on a two day business trip and even though it's only for a short period of time, I know I'm going to miss Anastasia so much. I need to tell her how I feel before it's too late and I lose her.
"Good morning, love. I'm so sorry I have to leave you. I'm going to miss you"
"I'm going to miss you too Sebastian" she gave me her adorable puppy eyes and looked at me through her eyelashes, making me smile.
I'll be taking my private jet to Chicago to cover some unfinished business my father left me before he died. He's been dead for nearly a year, it'll be a year in 2 months and to say that I'm relieved is an understatement. He always pressured me into this life and now that I'm in it, there's no easy way to get out. But if Ana's and my relationship goes any further, I need to. I just have to.
My mother died of cancer when I was little. It ruined my dad. He was heartbroken. That's why he started in the mafia, he received power. Power he couldn't get whilst grieving his wife. But that power also cost him his own life. My families life. And I was left, as the eldest child to clean up all of his wrong doings. To take care of my little sister, Zara. That's what I was trying to do at Club Erotica before Anastasia and Victoria were hurt.
Zara was going to be sold. Sold to heartless men and my father did nothing to stop it. In fact, he was the one who set it up. That sick bastard. How dare he do that to my sister and his own daughter? I would never have let that happen to her.
This is why I must protect Anastasia. Keep my past hidden and her safety as my top priority. I love her so much already and I can't afford to lose her. Not after my mum was taken from us so early. I can't cope with another heartbreak.
Luckily, after my father died, the business was left to me, making me the boss. In Chicago, I aim to shut down the undercover drug cartels that my dad was supplying to illegally, and seek justice for my sister. Zara is safe now and under my care in my residence in Greece where I visit her when I get the chance.
After I finished packing my bags, I took my suitcase down the stairs and handed it to Taylor.
"Thanks, Taylor" I nodded.
"No problem, Boss. Take off is in 2 hours" and with that he left out the front door and put my suitcase in the car.
Little footsteps could be heard coming towards me. I turned around at the sound and saw my girl running at me with open arms and before I could say anything, she jumped into my arms and I spun her around. In this moment, my heart was full.
"That was so cute" I kissed her.
"You're so cute" she blushed.
"Cute? Oh no, baby, I can show you better than cute" I smirked "just wait until I come back."
We both said our goodbyes and I immediately missed her smile.
I walked silently to the car door which Taylor was holding open. I got in and sat down onto the black leather seats, rolling up my sleeves, taking out my phone.
"Set up the meeting, I'll be in Chicago in a couple of hours. Don't be late" and with that I hung up the phone.
2 and a half hours later, I landed in Chicago. I was not looking forward to doing this.
At the hotel I took a shower and put on a suit for my meeting, debating whether or not I should call Anastasia. I don't want to bother her because it is a little late and I know she's had a tough couple of weeks.
On my way to the meeting, my nerves were rising but from the exterior, no one could tell. Tonight I face Marco Rodriquez, leader of the drug cartel and the man that had my father killed. Not that I blame him.
"Sebastian De Luca," Marco started, "how's your father? Oh wait- he's dead" he chuckled.
"Cut the bullshit Marco. Let's make a deal" I said, equally as dominant.
After hours of negotiations and a few glasses of whiskey, we finally came to an agreement. Although I didn't resent him for my fathers death, I did know that I needed to shut down this drug cartel in order to keep my loved ones safe. However, it wouldn't be cheap.
"That 10 million dollars will be in your account by tomorrow morning, Mr Rodriquez. Unless you fail to hold up your end of the deal."
"Oh trust me- my end of the deal will be held up and as long as you don't do what your father did, then we will have no problems in the future." He lifted himself out of his seat and we shook hands.
Finally, now that the business is taken care of, all I could think about is my baby girl.
I dialled her number and it rang twice before she picked up.
"Sebastian?" She questioned, her voice sleepy.
"Oh I'm sorry, did I wake you?"
"No no. It's ok, are you alright?" She sat up.
"Yes baby, I just miss you already," I admitted, "I'll be on the plane Friday morning after I clear up some things over here and then I'll be there to see your beautiful face after that."
"Ok, goodnight Sebastian, I'll see you on Friday." She hung up and I sighed contently, placing my phone back down and shoving it into my pocket.
I officially can't wait until Friday.
