Anastasia's POV:

"You're pregnant" he repeated over and over again, almost as if he was trying to will it out of existence. But he couldn't. I was really pregnant.

His hands were tight on the steering wheel and his knuckles were white. The car started to swerve and by the second, my heart was constricting more and more in fear. Fear for Sebastian. Fear for our baby. And fear for myself. It was around 6:30pm so the sun was touching the horizon, slowly moving down and eventually plunging us and everyone around us into darkness. Inevitable darkness.

Since we were driving up a mountain, the roads were already tight and hard to manoeuvre.

"Sebastian, you're scaring me. Please slow down."

"Scaring YOU? Anastasia, I'm fucking terrified! I can't be a father!" He was yelling now and I was trying not to cry again.

My eyes were clouded with tears as I looked into the rear-view mirror to see two men tailgating us. The one driving had his eyes set on us and the passenger was holding a gun.

"SEBASTIAN! THEY HAVE A GUN!"

"Wha-?" Before he could finish that sentence, I heard loud gunshots and saw blood seeping out of Sebastian. I couldn't locate the source of the bleeding because it was everywhere.

This caused the car to swerve left, into the rock wall and all of the air bags were set off. Sebastian was bleeding out and he appeared to be unconscious. Now, I was sobbing.

With trembling hands, I pulled out my phone and called 911.

"HELP! PLEASE HELP US! WE'RE ON A MOUNTAIN AND WE'VE BEEN SHOT AT! SAVE MY BABY AND BOYFRIEND PLEASE!"

Amazingly, emergency services could see my location and promised me that they would be here as quickly as possible.

"M- M- Mar- Marco" he whispered.

"What? Sebastian?" I leaned in close and he was heaving, struggling to find air.

"Rod- Rodriquez" he finished before he fell limp. I couldn't find a pulse and that's when I started panicking. My hands were covered in blood. A mix of his and my own. And that's when I saw it. I was bleeding. My dress completely soaked with blood and I felt the sharpest stabbing pain shoot through my abdomen.

"AGHHH!" I screamed in agony, clutching my stomach and also trying to apply pressure to Sebastian's wounds. I can't lose him. Not yet. I won't give up.

My head was pounding at this minute and I didn't want to lose hope but I felt like I was dying.

Marco Rodriquez. Who was he and why were they Sebastian's last words? Was he the one that shot us?

He injured my family and I'm going to FUCKING KILL HIM.

Blood was the only smell that occupied my senses until I started smelling smoke. If I don't get us out of here, the car is going to catch on fire.

Mustering up the strength, I leaned over, ignoring my pain and unbuckled mine and Sebastian's seatbelts.

"Come on, baby, I need to get you out of here" I said with urgency and I got no response.

I flung open the drivers side door because mine was crushed against a large group of rocks, restricting my movements. I began to push Sebastian out of the car, taking his wounds into consideration.

"Get. Out" I struggled, the smell of smoke intensifying.

Finally he was out of the car. But I was stuck.

I could see the front of the car begin to catch fire and in a matter of seconds, the car was almost completely alight. I needed to get out. Now. I need to save our baby.

Determination coursed through my veins and with a tug, I was out of the car, breathing heavily. I was struggling. I think I inhaled the smoke. I got out just in time because the car was burning right before my eyes.

Now, I was awfully aware of the pain in my stomach and the blood gushing from my body. But that won't stop me from helping the man I love.

Sirens were coming from all directions and I felt relieved. They were coming to save us.

"Oh please," I whimpered, "keep us safe."

Then, darkness.
