New year ahead - YoungShiro

Normal POV
It was the last day of the year and the company hosted an annual party for all staffs.

Mashiro was in finance department and she wasn't really fond of party but her best friend, Yurina dragged her here along with her other office mates.

"Come on Shiro. It's only once a while." Yujin, one of Mashiro's office mate said after noticing Mashiro's gloomy face.

"Ok ok I get it." Mashiro said and got up.
"Where'd you go?" "To get more foods." Mashiro said before walking to the buffet table.

Just when she was about to grabbed a plate another hand grabbed it before her. She tilted her head and saw an unfamiliar face.

*She must be from different department.*

"Sorry, you may have it first." Said the girl in front of Mashiro with a charming smile.

"N-nae. Gomawo." Mashiro grabbed a plate and start picking up some food with the girl following her from behind.

"I'm Youngeun. Seo Youngeun from marketing department." Youngeun said as she get some salad.

Mashiro surprise with a sudden voice from behind didn't really think that Youngeun would start a conversation with her.

"Oh hi. I'm Mashiro from finance department."
"Nice to meet you Shiro." Mashiro stopped on her track and turn her head to the girl after hearing the nickname.

"W-what did you call me?" Being an introvert since born she stuttering asked.

"Shiro or do you prefer marshmallow instead? You look like one." Youngeun replied with her bright smile.

"Ani." Mashiro blushed slightly and turn back to continue her task.

As they were getting food, Youngeun keep talking to Mashiro about random things which come to her head. Mashiro gave little response and sometimes chuckled at the girl's sense of humor.

After getting enough food Mashiro walked back to her table to join her friend while Youngeun going back to join her friend too.

"What took you so long?" Yurina asked as Mashiro sat down.
"Just craving for more food." Mashiro replied and digging her food not noticing a loving stare from Youngeun who staring at her from other table.

Youngeun lightly shaking her head and smile to herself as she saw how Mashiro ignored her friend rambling.

*She's so cute.*

As the night went on, Mashiro excuse herself for a while. She was walking around a bit before finding a perfect spot for the night breeze. She sat on a bench and gaze up the sky.

"I guess you don't really like partying?" As she was enjoying the view she heard a familiar voice from behind.

There she goes, Youngeun with her usual smile while her hands are tugged inside her coat.

"Mind if I sit here?" Youngeun walked to stop in front of Mashiro before asking.

Youngeun smile a bit before taking a seat next to Mashiro after the girl shake her head allowing another presence.

"Why are you here instead?" Youngeun started the conversation and look to her front.

"Just need some fresh air. How about you?" Mashiro asked back as she turned her gaze to the girl. Well, she regretted it after all because Youngeun was staring at her with that oh-so-lovely smile of her.

"I followed you here." Youngeun replied simply as the smile reached her eyes.

Mashiro felt something inside her stomach. The fluttering feeling after seeing that smile of Youngeun.

"Are you blushing?" Youngeun asked as she lean in closer to Mashiro.
"A-ani." Mashiro quickly turned her head away missing the playful smile on Youngeun's face.

Time passed and the two of them enjoying each other company with comfortable silent.

"I like you Mashiro." Youngeun suddenly said.
"Nae?" Mashiro surprise again with the girl bluntness.

"I felt something strange inside me and it keep pulling me to you. This may sound cheesy but when I first saw you a while ago my heart said that you are the one. Sorry I just being honest." Youngeun confessed as she rubbing her nape.

This is such a different side of Seo Youngeun from a while ago.

Without knowing Mashiro let out a smile which showing her twin dimples to Youngeun.

"Wow~ your dimple is cute." Youngeun said and she reached her hand to poke Mashiro's dimple making the girl froze.

Noticing what she was doing Youngeun retreated her hand back only to notice their close proximity.

"You're so beautiful" Youngeun blurted out as she keep her gaze on Mashiro.

Mashiro can feel her heart beat faster as second passed.

"Can I court you?" Youngeun bravely asked as Mashiro stay muted. She thought for a while before nodded her head making the girl in front of her jump up happily.

"Yeyyy~"

Mashiro stood up only to get pull in Youngeun's embrace. She smile secretly and let herself feel more warm from Youngeun.

As they were hugging the fireworks went off.

"Happy new year, beautiful." Youngeun whispered.
"Happy new year, charmer." Mashiro replied shyly.

Both of them hugged each other tighter with a smile on their face.

YoungShiro started off 2k22 right away.

This one was inspired by YoungShiro moment from Kep1er debut show 2nd teaser. Their moment made me soft.

I was a bit busy for year-end and a bit lost of idea for the plot. I keep watching random videos and do research on my free time for inspiration. But it seem harder these days.

However, I'll try my best to feed you guys as often as I can, just 🐻 with me. Let's see if I can make this to 100th chap.
