She wanted me back? What does that mean? She can't kick us out for so many years, and not just ask me to come back to her, but completely ignore Ashton. I didn't care what she wanted anymore, she'd fucked up mine and Ash's life enough. I was still unclear of the situation and quite what was happening, but what mainly pissed me off was her thinking she could just call after so long and take me back- it doesn't make any sense.

Ashton seemed even more frustrated about it than I was, though. He even had a few tears rolling down his face. "She supposedly heard about me leaving you at the mall, she didn't even say where she heard it; but she doesn't trust me with you."

"That doesn't make any sense, she kicked us both out."

"Yeah, but that was forever ago. Plus, you didn't do as much harm to the family as I did. You were only kicked out with me because she can't control herself." He yells the last sentence and kicks the chair.

"Did you tell her about saving us from those guys though? Or our band?" I ask.

"No, but she's not gonna support it anyway. I'm sorry Luke."

My heart was broken. I may have had plenty of fall outs with Ash, but he was still my brother, and he needed someone like me to be with him.

"She said she'll give you a week to pack your things and say goodbye to your friends, but then I'll drive you to the airport and you'll fly to Sydney."

"Can you just not drive me to the airport? So she can't get me?" I ask, trying to escape.

"She'd already thought of that. Told me that if I attempted it than she'd come get you herself, and could also have me arrested because I'm not your biological brother, and she is your biological mother. Plus you'll finish your schooling here for the next few days, guess you'll do year 11 and 12 with her."

I was born in Sydney, which was over an hour from Melbourne by plane. I didn't wanna go all the way there, having to leave Calum and Michael- which was another thing, our band was just getting started and beginning to skyrocket on YouTube. I couldn't leave now.

"Can I talk to her?" I asked.

"You can try calling her, but I don't think she'll answer. She said she doesn't want to talk or see me again after the call, she is really upset about me doing what I've done." He hands me the phone anyway.

I find Mum in his contacts and press call. I was scared, but praying she'd pick up. I didn't know what I was going to say, but maybe I could cry and beg to stay or just act like a dick so she won't want me anymore.

But she didn't answer.

She didn't answer the second, or the third, or the forth call either.

I put down the phone, slowly looking up. My mind hadn't fully wrapped around the fact that I'd be leaving everything- I'd be leaving Melbourne, I'd leave Ashton, Calum, and Michael, and even 5 Seconds Of Summer. I put my hand over my mouth, trying to hold in tears but I couldn't. I starting weeping, running to Ashton and letting him hold me. He rubbed my back as I sobbed into his shirt. "I don't wanna leave Ash, don't make me go."

I couldn't breathe. Everything was collapsing around me, my entire world. There was a lot of shit going on in my life before, but now that I've found Michael and Calum and began getting along with Ashton, it's all been so much better, I'm actually happy. And I don't want it to end.

We held me for awhile, until finally breaking free by bending down to my height, holding onto my shoulders. He raises my head by slipping his finger under my chin and looks me in the eye. "Hey, look. I'm gonna do everything I can to get you to stay here. As much as I don't want to admit it, your guys' band is fucking amazing. And we need all four of us to complete it, and I'm not letting you slip away. You're staying here, bud."
