Chapter two|The Ceremony

Camilo's pov:

I was greeting everyone at the enter but that girl from today was nowhere to be seen.After i greeted everyone i vent back inside.

I've must had a sad expression on my face because Mirabel asked me if everything's okay.I just nodded and went my way upstairs to stand right next to Antonio's doors.

Ellie's pov:

Me and my family stretched through the crowd straight to the front row.I saw Camilo next to Antonio's door,but he looked...sad?

He was just looking on the floor.Then the lights turned on and the Casita made a red carpet right in front Antonio.He was just standing there,i was confused.I didn't knew if its the part of the ceremony or not.

Then Mirabel appeared and Antonio grabbed her hand.
When they got to the doors Antonio made a promise that he will help the village with his gift.

He of course agreed and opened the door.The light shined everywhere.It was so magical.

The party in Antonio's room started and every member of our family went somewhere else.I decided to go get some Arepas con queso.It was my favorite food and i saw it at the table with food and other stuff so why not?

I happily took a bit of my taco when someone whispered to my ear."So you came" i jumped a bit and turned around.It was Camilo.

"You scared me!" i touched my chest."So they let you go?" He smiled "Yep and they actually came with me" I pointed over at my cousin Daniel talking to Abuelo."I didn't saw you walking in while i was greeting people.So i thought you didn't came" he laughed awkwardly "My family takes so long to get ready so we were bit late" i giggled.

"I'm glad that you're here"Camilo said and i could feel my face heat up a bit 'Wait-no-no-no-no' i thought "Me too" "Yeahhhh and i think that you never told me your name" he said as he touches the back of his neck."Oh,well my name's Ellie" i smiled a bit.

The music started playing louder and everyone started dancing.Camilo noticed and looked over at me."Let's go dance hermosa!" He said while dragging me to the parket."But i can't dance!" i yelped "That doesn't matter" Camilo responded.

He pulled me closer to him.I could feel my heart beating faster-i mean no i can't like him we just met.Is it even a sign that i like him?Just calm down Ellie.Calm.Down.

After a little while i saw that everyone started making a circle around us and staring at us.Well i can say that he was a great dancer."See,you're getting it!" Camilo said while his smile started forming into a smirk while spinning me around him.

Then he pulled me closer to him again."Camilo everyone is staring at us" i whispered "Good" he said while still smirking.

After the song ended everyone clapped and then they started doing their own business again."Finally nobody is staring" i exhaled.

"But not for too long" Camilo said while pointing at Dolores,Pepa and Isabella literally runing to us.

But the pure chaos started when they appeared."Camilo is that your girlfriend?" Isabella gasped "That's the girl from today right?" Dolores asked "Feliiiiiix!Come here!" Pepa yelled.All of the Madrigals (Thankfully not Abuela) started talking over each other.

"Stop!" Camilo yelled and all of the Madrigals stayed quiet."Okay so let me introduce you to Ellie and no she's not my girlfriend" he slightly blushed.I gave them an awkward wave and smile.

*Timeskip:Next morning*

I woke up still tired from the yesterday.All i did last night was giggling and dancing with Camilo.It was just perfect.I heard my Mamá calling everyone for breakfast.I quickly got dressed and then i rushed down the stairs.

"Good morning everyone" i smiled.Everyone was already sitting at the table waiting for me.I guess that the getting dressed took me way longer than i expected.

Today we had a toast and eggs."So how did yall liked the ceremony?" My Mamá asked while i was putting the food on my dish.

Everyone agreed that i was great. "So,Ellie what about the boy from yesterday?" Daniel asked."Do you mean Camilo?"He nodded "What about him?" I said while taking a bit from my toast.

"What's between you two?" My Papá asked. "Between us?" i giggled nervously. "While you were dancing.I could tell that there's something sparkling between you and the Camilo boy" Pedro added."Yeah definitely"i rolled my eyes and blushed a bit.

"Are you blushing?" Miguel teased me "W-What?No-" i smiled awkwardy "Why would i blush over Camilo?That's absurd" i quickly added. "But you two are cute together" Luis smiled "See!Even a 7 years old sees it" Daniel yelped."Yeah because he heard it from you three" i laughed."Just accept it" Pedro defented himself,Daniel and Miguel.I just rolled my eyes and continued to eat my breakfast.

Camilo's pov:

"Good luck with doing your chores!" Mirabel waved as the Casitas door closed.I've decided that i should try to find Ellie or maybe her house.In case she would need something-But maybe it's just a stupid reason to see her again?
