Chapter six|Loaf of Bread

Ellie's pov:

I woke up from the sun shining into my eyes.I quickly realized that i'm still in the clothes i wore yesterday.

I've decided to leave it like that.So i just combed my hair.But then i started getting flashbacks from yesterday.I completely forgot about it until now.

I figured out that the wisest thing is act like nothing happend until someone brings it up.

I walked downstairs and quietly sat down to the table.Thankfully i didn't arrived as the last one today.

My family was just chatting while my Mamá finished making the breakfast and i was playing with my fork.

After few minutes everyone arrived and we could beggan eating.My family was talking about my neighbors having a new baby's a twins.'Camilo will have a bunch of work' i thought and giggled a bit.Which got Miguel's attention.

"Ellie how was the date with Camilo?" Miguel teased me.'Why do they always talks about him?' i thought before responding.

"It wasn't date.It was a hang out!" I rolled my eyes."If you think so" Miguel laughed."And also Julieta asked me to stay for dinner and so did I.Sorry Mamá" I looked over at my mom and gave her a warm smile."It's okay cariño" My Mamá also smiled.

When our breakfasts were almost finished my Abuelo asked Daniel if he could go to the market for a loaf of bread."But Ellie always does it-" Daniel said while looking at me."I know but i thought you would like to try." Abuelo said while cutting his last waffle.

Daniel accepted.So my chances of meeting Camilo today were zero.I was ready to kill him with my look but Daniel was already looking at me.When our eyes locked he winked and then got up from the dining table.Walking to the main hall.

I was on my way to my room when Daniel dragged me into his room."Again?!" I almost yelled."Okay i am sorry that i dragged you here again.But i have something that could make you happy"

"What is it" I sat on the bed."Im too lazy to go to the market so wanna do it for me?" Daniel smiled while handing me 15 pesos."Here's money that Tía gave me for the bread and some from me so you can buy something for yourself" He added.I just smiled and gave him a thight hug."Thank you!Thank you!Thank you!"

*Timeskip:Around 10AM*

I grabbed my money and happily went to the market.I just hope that Camilo wont be picking me up again.

I headed towards the market making sure that that no girls my age are around.'Jesus i should pay Luisa to be my bodyguard' i joked for myself.

"Hey Ellie!" Someone grabbed me by shoulders from behind.The someone turned out to be Mirabel."Mirabel!I almost had a heart attack because of you!" I yelped."I'm sorry" Mirabel laughed.

"Where are you going?" Mirabel asked while walking next to me."I need to buy a loaf of bread and im also looking for Camilo.Do you know where he is?" I asked."I'm not sure but i think that he talked about telling a scary stories to kids." "I swear that Abuela is going to be so mad" We both giggled.

When we arrived to the market.Me and Mirabel decided to go separated ways from now.But she promised me that we need to hang out sometimes.I agreed and we said our goodbyes.

I went straight to the Mrs.Pérez stand.She has the best bread ever!My family had a lots of family friends and she was one of them.

"Good morning Mrs.Pérez,can i please have one loaf of bread?" I smiled "Of course" She smiled while handing me the bread."That will be 5 pesos" Mrs.Pérez said and i gave her the money on the counter.

One from my two tasks today was done.I was walking through the market looking at the stands with beautiful jewelry and other stuff.I remembered that i still had the 10 pesos that Daniel gave me for doing his chores.
