Chapter Fourty-three|Denial

Ellie's pov:

We were standing in the corner of Casita's hallway, checking if the cost's clear. After a quick check we made our way into the Nursery. But then we bumped into the last person we would want to bump into. Alma.

"Why are you two in such a hurry?" Alma rolled her eyes and dusted off her dress. "Oh, we're really sorry" Mirabel stuttered."What's in your hair?" Alma noticed the pieces of sand in our heads.

"Um-" Mirabel and I started combing my hair. But suddenly we heard Antonio yell something. "My gift!"

"I'm loosing my gift" He cried out."What do you mean?" Alma looked at him. "Mirabel, Ellie and Luisa we're talking about how Luisa shouldn't carry too much so I decided to do it too, but when I grabbed all the donkeys and wanted to throw them into their barn, they we're... Heavy!" Antonio said and ran into his room.

The three of us watched Antonio run into his room and slam the door behind him. Then, Alma gave Mirabel an angry look, it was like I wasn't part of it." What did you say to her?" Alma asked. But then I decided to take things into my hands.

"Oh, unfortunetly we should go to Camilo, it's really urgent" I put on a huge fake grin and grabbed Mirabel's arm. Soon after I dragged her into Camilo's room.

"Oh, hey mi amor" Camilo smiled as our eyes locked. "Good afternoon to you too, Camilo" Mirabel playfully rolled her eyes. And suddenly I realised something.

"Ellie, would you like to stay here?" Camilo smiled and patted the place on his bed next to him. "Uh, oh" I stuttered and looked at Mirabel. She just gave me a small nod.

"Yeah, sure" I smiled and walked towards him. Meanwhile Mirabel just walked out of the room. No wonders why.

I layed on the bed next to him. He quietly wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his chest. "I-I need to tell you something" I sighed. "What do you mean?" Camilo raised his eyebrow looked deeply into my eyes.

"I love you, shapeshifter" I stuttered out as my whole body panicked. "Huh?" I tomato red blush appeared on Camilo's face.

"I love you" I repeated again. Without any words, he pulled me in for a pasionate kiss.. "Of course I love you too, mi amor" He smiled into the kiss. And without hestinating I kissed him back. Few moments after that I feel asleep.

I have been denying this for way too long, I really love him I was so blind..
