WADE'S POV:

''One, two, three, uh!

My baby don't mess around
Because she loves me so, and this I know for sure
But does she really wanna
But can't stand to see me walk out the door?
Don't try to fight the feeling
'Cause the thought alone is killing me right now
Thank God for Mom and Dad
For sticking two together 'cause we don't know howwwww....''

''My god, will you PLEASE shut up!?''

''Hey ya! Hey ya!
Hey ya! Hey ya!
Hey ya! Hey ya!
Hey ya! Hey ya!''

I danced around the kitchen and slowly made my way to the radio to turn the volume down a little bit.

''Out of everything I've been through, this is the worst kind of torture. It's 8 am....'' Kevin groaned. ''I preferred it when you were miserable.''

I walked over to the chair where I had adjusted Kevin earlier. ''Oh, I'm sorry Kevin, did you like the floor better?''

Kevin averted his gaze. ''No. I'm... Really sore.''

''Thought so. You're really no fun. Besides, I think my singing is quite good.'' I walked back to the kitchen. ''If you keep acting like that I won't give you any of my pancakes.'' I warned as I started pouring some of the batter onto the pan.

''That's what you've been making this whole time? Well it smells like shit.'' Kevin watched from his chair as I started frying.

''That's it, no pancakes for you.''

''Good. I think I dodged a bullet there...''

''You're such a bad friend, Kevin.'' I faked a pout.

''I'm your hostage, Wilson.'' Kevin growled. ''How come the other guy hasn't woken up with all this noise? My ears are bleeding-''

''Shake it, sh-shake it, shake it, sh-shake it! Shake it, sh-shake it, shake it, shake it, sh-shake it! Shake it like a Polaroid picture, hey ya! Shake it, sh-shake it, shake it, sh-shake it! Shake it, shake it, shake it, sugar! Shake it like a Polaroid pictureeee!''

I screamed at the top of my lungs as I passed by Kevin again to get to the hallway holding a plate of pancakes. On my way there, I kicked his chair making him fall back on the floor again.

''Fucking asshole!'' I heard him scream while I made my way to the bedroom.

Sometimes I forget how annoying you are.

Man, I love this song.

It's... incredibly obnoxious.

''Good morning sunshine!'' I shut the door behind me while holding the plate with the pancakes. No response. Peter was sleeping like a log again. I always wondered how he did it, cause he's got like, super good hearing and stuff. I sat next to him on the bed and took a bite out of one of the pancakes. Ah, my cooking skills never fail me.

I felt Peter move a little as he was slowly waking up. ''Come on, you gotta eat the pancakes while they're still warm.''

''...Huh?'' Peter groaned.

''Pancakes.''

''Wh...''

''Pancakes!''

Peter slowly got up, opened his eyes and looked at me next to him trying to figure out what's going on. ''... Pancakes? You cook now???''

''Why is everyone so surprised that I cook?'' I handed Peter a fork as he reluctantly took a bite.

''Holy shit. It's actually really good!'' He smiled. Peter looked at his arms and legs and sighed. ''Oh... I fell asleep in my suit.''

''I can give you something more comfortable!'' I excitedly got up and went over to my wardrobe, tossing a hello kitty t-shirt and a pair of spider-man shorts to him.

Peter took a good look at them and grinned. ''Yeah, this will do.''

''You can match them with my unicorn slippers. They're over at the door if you need them.'' I made my way back to sit on the bed as Peter started changing. Obviously, I stared with awe.

Turning his head back to catch a glimpse of me, Peter's face turned noticeably red. ''Obviously.'' He sighed.

''Nothing I haven't seen before.'' I teased, referencing that one time I had to change him into a t-shirt after the TaserWebs incident. ''You flustered? You're acting like such a virgin.'' My eyes widened and I gasped loudly. ''Is that it?! You're a virgin?!''

''Wade, what-'' Peter became even more flustered. ''No!''

''You're either a virgin, or extremely vanilla. That's the kind of vibe I'm getting.'' I smiled as he put his palm on his face in embarrassment. ''Or maybe extremely inexperienced? Is that it?'' I kept teasing.

''I'm going to eat my pancakes now.'' He said, starting to stuff his face with the food I made.

''Changing the subject, are you now?'' I stood over his shoulder giggling.

''Sorry Wade, can't hear you over the pancakes.'' He said with his mouth full. We both laughed as he finished eating. Peter then decided to pick up his phone and check it, letting out a big sigh. ''They're looking for me... Good thing Karen doesn't have a tracking system installed in my suits anymore.''

''Who's looking for you? Stark?''

''Mr. Stark, and uh... Probably pretty much everyone. They didn't let me go out at all so I just kinda...'' Peter hesitated. ''Jumped out of the window and left with no warning? So yeah, kinda makes sense I guess.''

''Real character development!''

''If that's what you call it. They kept treating me like a child. I'm not a child! They can't even take me seriously anymore. They started treating me well, and after the incident it all just dropped back to zero again.''

''They care about you.'' I reassured Peter. ''Yeah, in a very helicopter-parent-kind-of-way, especially Stark-'' I continued. ''But it's all out of care.''

''Yeah... You're right.'' He admitted reluctantly.

Imagine having so many people care about you.

I hit my head slightly to signal Yellow to go away. Couldn't really whisper to him under my breath, cause Petey hears everything and it would probably worry him.

So hitting yourself in front of him isn't worrying?

It never works by the way. He just looks stupid giving himself headaches 24/7.

''My point is-'' I ignored Yellow. ''Shit's weird now, but it should go back to normal soon. He's gonna be pretty pissed that you're with me though."

"I'll take my chances." He chuckled but slowly turned back to a serious expression. "I should really get back to Aunt May soon. Ned too, they must be worried."

"It's gonna be okay. Take your time." I rarely caught myself being good at comforting others. With Peter, it felt so easy and genuine to do though.
