PETER'S POV:

I woke up to see the lab once again, now with a dim lighting, probably so it wouldn't disturb me as much. I raised my head up a little to look around. Bruce was in the room, sitting on a chair and doing his work. I groaned in pain at the terrible headache that I had just got.

Bruce turned around as soon as he heard me, he looked a little concerned. "Good morning Peter, how are you?"

"Morning." My head touched the pillow again and I sighed. "I have a splitting headache..."

"Oh, right." Bruce got up quickly and opened a drawer, getting some pills out. He placed them at the table next to me and poured some water into the glass which was also on the table. "These are your painkillers, you can have them right after we get you something to eat."

I wanted to get up so bad. I had only been aware that I was staying in the lab only since last night, but the urge for me to explore and ask questions just kept getting bigger. Bruce would be back soon with the breakfast. I tried lifting my body up in order to settle into a sitting position but the headache made it difficult for me to stand, and the pain all over my body was still really bad too.

Bruce walked in with a disk that had my food in it. He looked at me as I was now sitting on the bed, with my back against the wall to keep balance. "I see you're handling it pretty well." He said calmly as he came closer and left the disk slowly on my lap.

"How long will it take to heal?" I said taking a bite out of the scrambled eggs, realizing how hungry I actually was.

"A severe concussion would take about 3 months to fully heal, but you're doing great already. Good thing your powers have given you a healing factor, that should make the process easier and much faster." Bruce replied to me turning his back and looking at the paperwork on his desk.

A healing factor. That somehow ringed a bell at me.

"Will I be able to recall my memories soon, too?" I said hinting our discussion from yesterday. I cleared my throat after having another bite from my scrabled eggs. "There's things I don't remember, maybe you could help me."

Bruce didn't answer to me this time.

He was the one to clear his throat this time, but nervously. "It's fine, Peter. As long as I know you're doing pretty good. But I can help you if you want." He finally said.

"Where do you live?" He continued.

"I live in Forest Hills, Queens, New York with my aunt." I answered, suddenly filled with stress realizing that aunt May hasn't heard from me in a while. "Oh crap, aunt May must be worried sick...!"

"Language!" I heard another familiar voice as the doors of the lab were opening once again revealing Steve Rodgers along with the rest of the Avengers.

The first person to come inside was Doctor Strange, who seemed really glad to see me. We didn't have that much of a connection before, but I always admired him alot out of all the Avengers.

Mr. Stark probably noticed the amazement in my eyes seeing Doctor Strange and cleared his throat in annoyance.

"How come you didn't make a dramatic magic entrance?" He said glaring ironically at Doctor Strange.

"Didn't want to freak Peter out, he's been through alot." Doctor Strange said, not even turning his head to look at mr. Stark. I remembered their relationship had always been a little complicated, and it was always kind of fun to look at them trying to both look one better than another.

Mr. Stark scoffed and came inside the lab along with the others.

"How's the head Peter? I see you're doing really good." Doctor Strange continued.

"I'm better than yesterday, for sure." I said, and swallowed the painkillers drinking some water out of the glass placed on the table next to me.

"I've got to say, that bullet was hard to remove. It's almost like a miracle you only came out with a concussion."

I started chocking on my water.

I could hear everyone talking together, all facing Doctor Strange, but I was unable to distinguish what they were saying because I was coughing.

"I specifically told you that he didn't remember!" I heard mr. Stark's voice out of all the others, he was being the loudest one. "Congratulations, wizard!"

The chaos of voices continued, but it was stopped by Bruce screaming even louder.

"Everybody stop!"

They had all turned at Bruce now, who was irritatingly sitting on his desk with his hands leaning against it, the heart monitor bracelet on his hand beeping very quickly and loudly. Complete silence followed as everybody was waiting for him to take enough deep breaths to calm down.

Eventually the beeping stopped and everyone was now calm, only a slight mutter coming from mr. Stark. I had stopped chocking now, and I was actually kind of amused by the whole thing. Being with the Avengers always was fun, but it seemed like I had been gone a long time and the feeling of being with them all together was something I had missed.

All the flashbacks from our past adventures started flooding my mind, reminding me even more of how I missed them.

But something is missing, I'm not sure what though.

The rest of the Avengers finally greeted me and we all talked for a while. Nobody mentioned anything else about my injury. They eventually left to go on with their day and finish their work as superheroes. I can't wait to be able to put my suit on again and swing off the buildings of New York. And I can't wait to see-

I can't wait to see...

To see...

Who is it that I'm missing...?
