PETERS POV:

Present time.

"Where did we go, though?!" I shoved my face into my pillow and groaned angrily. I couldn't get myself to remember the location. That's when I thought of something, someone.

Karen.

"Karens location system." I whispered to myself and got out of bed trying to ignore the headache as much as possible. I must have set my GPS when we found about the place to lead the way. Karen must know. "I need to get..." I let out another groan from the pain in my head. "... To my suit."

I knew that by this time everyone was gone on that mission, which was my chance to go downstairs to the lab. The only thing I was scared about was Friday watching over me and telling Mr. Stark.

I rushed out of the door, walking as fast as I could and grabbing the wall next to me for support. I called the elevator and impatiently waited to get in. As I walked into the elevator, I looked into the security camera and hoped for Friday to ignore me.

"Kid." I heard Mr. Starks voice from the speakers installed in the elevator.

"Ugh..." I sighed and facepalmed myself.

"What are you doing? I thought you-" Mr. Stark was cut off by a loud sound in the distance. "Ugh, hold on." He told me as I heard him blast something. Man, how much I wanted to be a part of another mission.

I gave Mr. Stark a couple of seconds before he came back. "I thought you were resting. Are you okay? What are you doing?"

"I was just uhh..." I started and stopped awkwardly to find an excuse. "Getting a glass of water?"

"Peter, the elevator is below the floor with the kitchen." Mr. Stark said with an unimpressed tone.

I sighed once again. "I just need to talk to Karen. I think I'm onto something."

"Peter, what if you have one of your blackouts again? I should call Happy-"

"No, Mr. Stark. I've got it." I insisted, hoping to let him know once again that I don't always need help and that I'm not a child anymore.

Mr. Stark sighed. "Right. I'm sorry Pete. But if you need anything just-"

I interrupted once again with my chuckle before the elevators doors opened. "Yes. I know." I nodded and waved at the security camera before walking out.

"Be careful, kid." I heard Mr. Starks caring tone once last time before he went back to fighting in his mission.

"Right..." I mumbled to myself while looking around the lab for my suit. It wasn't where it had previously been left, so Bruce must have placed it somewhere else. I fought my headaches pain and kept searching, until I found my half destroyed mask in a drawer.

"Man... I must really go finish making that new suit I've been thinking about. Or was that last year? Oh shit... Is that the new suit I was thinking about?" I talked to myself with pure confusion as I wore my mask.

Well damn, I need a second new suit now. I'm sure I've got some more suits that are in progress laying around the Facility.

"Hey, Karen?" I asked for my trusty A.I. assistant and patiently waited for a response.

"Hello, Peter." I heard Karens distorted voice in my mask. "How are you holding up?"

"Oh, wow..." I mouthed in surprise. "I guess that bullet really damaged your system. I'll transfer your system into that new suit I've been thinking about soon." I chuckled.
