Quick Update

Q: Is Bruno dead?

A: No. Presumed dead? Very much so.

Q: How did Fernando know that Bruno still loved Mariposa and stuff?

A: Bruno told him. Just in general conversation. Fernando is the only kid who visits regularly to see the ghosts of the Casita such as his Abuelito Pedro. It is possible that Bruno didn't know that his family thought he was dead.

Q: How did Fernando talk to his father?

A: Fernando can't tell the living from the dead. For him, Pedro is as solid as his mother. This is the downfall of his gift.

Related note: Honestly, the first time Fernando saw Bruno, he may have even though he was Abuelito Pedro until after an interaction where Bruno had a rat in his hood. With the door dark and only Nando talking about him in present tense, everyone (with the exception of Dolores who would listen to his telenovelas to help her sleep like she did when they still lived in Casita) just kinda assumed Bruno died. Maya didn't hear his thoughts after she stopped escorting her brother around (wasn't asked to, just did because she knew Mariposa's worries about his health when he was young) and Sofia didn't spend time at the Casita. Maya heard him evey now and then when taking her brother to Casita but assumed it to be someone or something else. Her powers are limited by her normal hearing range.

A: 😑 Guys, I've got to sleep sometime. This is more of a request for updates than anything else. It's not to call a single person out but it is to bring up the MOST commented phrase on the story. It is also the most deleted comment. I know you guys want updates. I want updates!

I update once, sometimes twice, a day. Sometimes at weird times like 3 am, sometimes not until 6 pm but always within the next 24 hour period.

This said, please don't ask me to update.

I love this story and seeing how excited you get about the characters. But you guys are already getting these as fast as I can write them. I have family and unfortunately I can't get paid to write fan fiction so I have work.

DO NOT APOLOGIZE IF YOU HAVE ASKED FOR UPDATES IN THE PAST YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG. I AM A MAJOR ADVOCATE FOR NEVER APOLOGIZING IF YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG!

A great alternative is just commenting a heart or something. Those get left. I even love when people role play in my comments! I even RP back as the characters (or Author-sama if you're looking for something only a god would know) that you or your OCs would like to interact with.

Q: What did Bruno see in chapter 6?

A: We don't know right away but it's something upsetting. We're not supposed to know. He chose not to tell Mariposa for a reason as he tells her just about everything. This was a vision made by a panic attack so there is no vision glass and it would be especially upsetting for him. But did you notice how quickly Bruno reacted just before Fernando stopped breathing? Almost like he'd seen it coming, huh.
