"I figured it out!" Julieta said excitedly as she rushed out of Casita. "I figured out how my gift works!"

Julia had been trying for two years to figure out how her gift worked. Bruno hadn't yet figured out his either or if he had, he hadn't told me. Pepa had learned quickly the way her's worked. Her emotions controlled the weather.
"That's great, Julieta," I said. "Tell us about it."
"Watch!" she showed me a bruise on Bruno's arm from training his rat and shoved food in his mouth. The bruise disappeared. "It's food! I can heal with food!"
"That's cool!" I said. "You can help everyone in town with that!"
Julieta offered me a handful of papas rellenas.
I raised an eyebrow as I took them. "I'm not injured or sick...
"Well," Bruno rubbed the back of his head as he closed the book he'd been reading to me for practice, "there is something it might help with..."
I smiled. "That's sweet, guys, but I don't think it'll regrow my foot. I think that's been gone too long."
Julieta smiled. "It's worth a shot, right?"
"I guess so, "I smiled. I ate the papas rellenas.
"So?" Bruno asked.
"Sorry," I shrugged. "My knee feels better than ever, if that helps."
Julieta looked a little crestfallen. "Oh..."
"Thanks for trying though."
Julieta kicked the ground before going back inside.
"If it helps," Bruno said, "I think you're going to have another foot in the future."
"Is that your power?" I teased.
"No," Bruno said. "I don't have it all figured out yet, but I know you're going to dance someday."
"Really?" I smiled. "Who am I going to dance with?"
