"Sensei, I'm not aware of what turmoil you speak of; I'm totally an open book," I said as he walked next to me, correcting my form.

"You have nothing that holds you back? No regrets in your life?" He asked sharply. "I see. I know what you must discover, and in time it will reveal itself. You must be patient and trust the people around you." He sipped his tea and left the training grounds.

I focused on my form, the crisp air of the training grounds energizing me as I executed a series of intricate maneuvers, each strike calculated and purposeful. The rhythmic thuds of kicks and punches against the practice dummies filled the air.

The group entered, their presence adding to the intensity of the training session. Cole's powerful kicks reverberated through the room, while Kai's swift movements showcased his agility. Jay practiced his acrobatics, effortlessly flipping through the air, and Zane's precision in every strike was unmatched.

"Y/n? Y/n?!" They shouted on top of the training making me groan instantly. Doesn't anyone care about a little silence?!

"Can you guys shut up!" I yelled, my frustration bubbling over.

"We didn't say anything..." Zane answered for the group, glancing around with a puzzled expression.

"I heard my name," I stopped punching the bag to face them, wiping sweat from my brow.

"No one said your name," Cole remarked, throwing a few more powerful kicks at the bag.

...Wait, someone said my name.

"Maybe you've been training for too long," Kai added, stretching out before resuming his routine.

"Yeah, maybe you should take a break," Jay suggested, looking concerned.

"Ugh!" I shouted, unable to contain my frustration, and stormed out of the monastery. I clenched my fists, trying to rein in my emotions. Maybe they were right. Perhaps I had been pushing myself too hard, desperate to unlock my true potential.

I sat down on the monastery steps, burying my face in my knees, the weight of Sensei's words and my own doubts heavy on my mind.

"Uh, ninja?" I heard a man's voice, causing me to jump up in a fighting stance.

"Oh, it's just the mail," I sighed in relief as the deliveryman backed away cautiously. "Sorry."

The mailman, a middle-aged man with a kind face and a slight tremble in his hands, held out a bundle of letters and packages. "No problem, miss. Just doing my rounds. Rough day?"

"You could say that," I muttered, taking the mail from him. "Thanks."

He adjusted his cap ready to take his leave. "Well, you take care."

"I'll try," I replied, feeling a bit better from the brief interaction. As he turned to leave, I opened the monastery doors. "Mail!" I announced, trying to distract myself, and the group quickly gathered around.

"Jay, letter from your parents," I spoke softly, handing him the letter, which he took at lightning speed. His eyes lit up with curiosity and excitement as he tore open the envelope.

"Kai has a fan letter..." I trailed off with an eye-roll. He smirked immediately, snatching it and muttering something about it being from a 'hot babe'. Typical Kai.
