"These bugs just keep coming. We're getting nowhere!" Kai grunted, blasting a wave of fire at the swarm. The heat singed the air as the alien creatures scattered, only to regroup moments later.

My wind power sent another wave of them tumbling back, but they just kept multiplying. I gritted my teeth. "There's too many!"

"Nya, there's no way we're getting off this planet!" Jay's voice crackled over the comms. He sounded desperate, even as he made a feeble attempt at humor. "Any last words, my darling?"

"Now is not the time for that!" Nya shot back, her voice tight with nerves. I could hear her tapping furiously at the control console on the other end. She was trying to coordinate an escape, but we all knew it wasn't looking good.

"They've returned with the Golden Weapons," P.I.X.A.L. cut in, her mechanical voice unshaken. "It's only a matter of time before they find you."

I felt my stomach twist at her words. The Golden Weapons weren't just powerful—they were devastating.

"We can get off this planet." Lloyd's voice broke through the tension, calm but resolute.

"What about your green power, Lloyd?" Kai asked, hurling another burst of flame at the oncoming swarm. "You could teleport us out of here, right?"

"It's too far," Zane interjected, the cool tone of his voice in stark contrast to the chaos around us. "He'd never be able to maintain focus for that long."

"Great, so we're stuck," Cole muttered, crushing a bug between his fists before wiping the goo off with a grimace. "Anyone happen to have a build-your-own-rocket-kit handy?"

Lloyd's eyes lit up, an idea clearly forming. "Whoa. That's it!"

"You have a build-your-own-rocket-kit?" I asked, glancing over at him, confused but intrigued.

"No, but we can make one." Lloyd's grin widened. "Arcturus may not fly, but she'll give us all the metal we need. And Zane knows this solar system better than anyone."

Zane's face brightened as he realized where Lloyd was going with this. "Yes, I can calculate the required escape velocity and navigate us out of here."

"And Kai's fire could weld the missing parts!" Lloyd continued, excitement building in his voice. "Cole's strength will handle the heavy lifting. And Jay's electricity could charge the systems!"

Jay grinned, already firing bolts of electricity at the bugs. "Haha, hey! Hey! This could actually work!"

We sprang into action. Lloyd's plan was crazy, but it was all we had. The swarm closed in, but we pushed them back with renewed determination, forming a perimeter while Cole and Kai began gathering and shaping parts from the wreckage of Arcturus.

"Let's fire this thing up and see if she'll fly," Kai said, sweat dripping from his forehead as he welded two pieces together with a sharp hiss of flame.

"Boosters?" Lloyd called out, his voice a little breathless as he oversaw the haphazard assembly of our makeshift rocket.

"Check!" Jay called from the cockpit, his hands buzzing with electricity as he powered up the systems. Sparks flew everywhere, but the engines began to hum.
