Song in title- Motion Sickness
by Phoebe Bridgers
—~~••~~—I sat up, watching Kai train Lloyd. It was his turn for the day, and he was letting Lloyd punch his hands while wearing mitten gloves.
"Good, keep it up," Kai encouraged, making Lloyd punch even faster.
"Ha! Fists of fury! Unh! You can't even see 'em move, I'm so fast! Ha!" Lloyd exclaimed, his confidence evident.
"Save the gloating. It can only be used against you by your enemy," Kai informed him, to which Lloyd rolled his eyes.
"Oh, please. I'm ready to face whatever you throw at me." Lloyd's confidence got the better of him as he kicked, managing to throw Kai backward.
"Whoa, grasshopper. You're not even ready to face my pinky toe," Kai said, wiggling his left foot to emphasize his point. Behind Lloyd, Wu observed the session with a keen eye.
"I see the student has become the teacher. You will learn fast, Lloyd, with lessons from the five ninja," Sensei Wu said, his tone determined.
"Great, now that the lesson is over, how about some target practice... on Kai?" Cole smirked, making Kai cringe.
"You'll each get your turn, but first, I don't want you to be late for your next lesson with Nya," Sensei Wu commented.
"Aww, but when will I learn Spinjitzu?" Lloyd whined.
"Patience. It will only be unlocked when the key is ready to be found," Sensei Wu sighed, while Lloyd groaned and walked away to meet up with Nya.
"Sound familiar?" I asked, smiling at Kai.
"I wasn't that whiny," Kai replied quickly.
"No, you were worse," Zane admitted, making us all laugh—except Kai.
"Hehe. Guys, I know we're trying to prepare Lloyd for the future, but it's hard to give him the best training in these conditions," Jay brought up, changing the subject.
"Jay's right. I miss the Destiny's Bounty. Too bad it's gone," Cole sighed.
"Hmm. I see your point. Perhaps we could find somewhere else to aid his journey," Sensei Wu joined in, stroking his beard thoughtfully.
I looked around at my friends, each of us feeling the weight of the task ahead. "Where do we even start looking for a new base?"
"Somewhere hidden, where we can train without interruption," Zane suggested.
"And somewhere with enough space for all our activities," Jay added.
Kai nodded, still a bit sore from Lloyd's kick. "We'll find something. We always do."
Cole grinned, patting Kai on the back. "Let's hope it's sooner rather than later. I'm getting tired of open-air training sessions."
We all chuckled, but the seriousness of the situation wasn't lost on any of us. Finding a new place would be crucial for Lloyd's training and for our continued fight against Garmadon. And deep down, I knew that with our combined efforts, we'd find the perfect spot to continue our journey.
"It's time we search Ninjago City for a more suitable place to train Lloyd," Sensei said once we reached the bustling streets.
"Oh, but Sensei, Ninjago City is huge. It'll take us all day to find it on foot," Jay whined, his arms gesturing dramatically.
