Imani had been running for what seemed to be hours, when really it couldn't have been no more than ten minutes.

Out in the pouring rain it seemed as if she was struggling to comprehend anything at all. Not only was it hard to stay stationed on her feet with the sticks and rocks on the ground, she hadn't a good sense of direction because of how dark it was. So this of course wasn't a good thing and chances were she wouldn't actually make it out of the forest tonight.

But anything was better than staying in that house. There was this probing feeling telling her that their intentions weren't to actually help. Something about the way Jungkook looked at her told her that his intentions weren't to get her back home. And that was unsettling...

It came as a surprise how fast night seemed to transform into morning. The skies grow a bit lighter than before but it was still fairly dark out.

The heavy rain turns into a light drizzle. Imani still didn't put her hoodie down but she felt less of the water on her skin and it was a relieve from the heavy raindrops hitting her jackets.

She was far away from the lodge, she would assume. But now that she was away she hadn't any landmarks to tell her exactly where she was.

"What the hell..." Imani whispered, briefly stopping to take a quick look around.

She didn't see anything beyond the trees. She could hear the city but she couldn't see it. She wondered if they had determined that she was missing by now, and had decided to come search for her.

She couldn't believe that Lenzie had ignored her callings for help. How her professor and the rest of her class just went on about their lives as if she wasn't left behind.

Imani figured that they just didn't care about her. That she wasn't that important. She was a negative light shedding upon them during their trip to this godforsaken forest, which is why they decided they would leave her behind. They would be better without her.

The girl grew frustrated. There was a nearby tree that she sank down in front of. She felt a crushing pain in her legs as she bent them. Imani hissed. She had been running for hours, it was expected she be hurt.

Without an ounce of a thought, Imani bursted out into a fit of tears. She couldn't help but cry. She felt pitiful in this situation. She couldn't help herself. She couldn't pull herself out of this conflict. That was pitiful.

She didn't consider the fact that the people that had taken her in for the night would be on the lookout for her. Mostly because they were probably all asleep.

Plus she was a stranger and they didn't really give a damn. Imani felt alone. Abandoned in this forest in Ontario. That is, if she was even still in Ontario.

Imani threw her head back against the tree and closed her eyes. She felt murky and dirty from the rain and sweat. She felt tired most of all. And desperately, she needed sleep.
