Being on two separate sides of Jungkook's bed felt like being on two different sides of the world. It was rather spacious, soft and cold when you first touched it. But after awhile of mingling in the sheets your body grew warm, and your muscles soon relaxed.
Imani could not sleep after what occurred earlier. Laying in a dark silence with the rain falling lightly outside, stroking the scattered leaves on the patio floor and tapping against the glass of Jungkook's window.
Her hands tucked under the left side of her cheek as she stared at the wall, gazing mindlessly with a steady beating heart and uncomfortable feeling in her stomach.
Imani was beginning to think that a pain this bad wasn't only from her inevitable longing of the werewolf. Perhaps these were ovulation pains. Anything other than what she had been conditioned to believe.
It got worse the closer she was to him. And right now, her body was on fire. She felt like she could throw up, but didn't feel like she would. She felt like she needed to get away from him, but for some reason her body would not move. As it was getting closer and closer , it would become harder to resist him. To resist this feeling and all that came with it.
A strike of lightening casts a shadow on the wall. Inane winced, closing her eyes as a low rumble of thunder shook what lay beneath her. On her side, Jungkook rolls his eyes and licks over his lips. His head facing the ceiling as he pondered over his thoughts.
Perhaps he had taken things too far earlier. He had never been this paranoid before. He hated how he acted whenever he felt threatening. Anyone in his path had to endure that wrath and aggression. It just so happened to be Imani's turn.
Being a Luna, she would have to learn how to deal with an angry alpha. She would have to learn the ways of a co-leader, dealing with sudden aggression and taming her mate. It was a common misconception that Luna's were but submissive's to their alphas. Jungkook had seen it growing up. His father was just a narcissistic man with dog-like tendencies who was cursed to become one under the blanket of night.
But Jungkook didn't want to be that way. When Imani turned, he wanted her to step up. He needed that extra help. That would explain why he was always opened to hearing both Yoongi and Hoseok's criticism. Without them, his pack would've been defeated long ago. Without them, he would be in a really dark place. He would've never met his soulmate and he would've never lasted this long alive, safe.
As he reflected, he felt like an asshole. He had them to be grateful for, yet he treated them horribly. Imani got it the worst. He felt something crack in his heart. Was it...mercy? Guilt? Of course, only she could pull it out of him.
The bed sinks as imani sits up from her fetus position. Pulling her knees up midway as she pushed down on her stomach, sighing softly and looking off to the side.
In the darkness of the room, she was visible due to the moonlight shining in. Jungkook furrowed his brows as he looked up at her she was obviously in pain.
