Imani wakes up the next day with a minor ache erupting in the side of her temple. For all the nights she had been staying at this place, she realized that everytime she woke up from her rest there was always something hurting her. Wether it be a headache, a toothache, a stomach ache or a pain in her legs. There was something bothersome.
The sun slithers in through the windows. She realizes that eventhough it was raining yesterday, nature made a quick recovery. It was a bright day and the sky was blue. The rays shining through the trees as squirrels and birds occupied outside. One of the birds sitting perched up on the space outside of Jungkook's window in his room.
Speaking of Jungkook.
There was a pattern of soft snores coming from in front of the bed. Imani looks towards the chair in the corner of the room where he had been sitting, watching her last night.
She was shocked to see that he wasn't there. But she knew he was in here somewhere.
Leaning up from her position on the bed Imani crawls to the foot of the bed and looks over the edge. Shockingly, on the floor is where Jungkook lay.
On his back with one hand behind his head and the other resting on his stomach. A knee bent in the air, head turned to the side. Lips parted as he snored lightly and his chest puffs up with each taking breath.
Why did he sleep on the floor? Imani thought.
She didn't realize that she had gotten lost in staring at him. Because she was blatantly shocked when his eyes peeled open, and his head snapped forward so that he was staring at her.
"Oop-" Imani shrieks, jumping back in bed from the sudden realization.
Jungkook grumbled as he closed his eyes. "Am I that repulsive when I wake up?" He mumbled.
Imani shook her head. "N-no I was just surprised that you...why were you sleeping on the floor?" She asked, cutting off her sentence to complete another thought.
Jungkook kissed his teeth. "You were on the bed and the chair was uncomfortable." He answers.
"But there are other beds..." Imani says reasonably.
"I didn't want to sleep in another bed, Imani." He grits. And she left it alone after that.
The short tempered man sits up from his laying position. Imani cringed as he started to pop his bones. Stretching and cracking his knuckles. It sounded painful. A low grunt leaving his lips as he stood up from the floor and jerked his neck to crack it as well.
"We need to freshen up. You're going back home today." He says.
Imani's eyes widened. She couldn't help but be overthrown by happiness. This was like a dream come true. Her earlier doubts about them vanishing as she realized she was finally going home.
