As the battle rages outside, I continue making my way to the hotel where the captured girls are being held. I've already been informed that it is indeed the Eagle Union that's attacking and as a result, while I don't know why they are doing so, I won't deny that it no longer makes sense for us to continue fighting the Crimson Axis. After all, the only reason we continued fighting them after I entered this world was that we were already at war with them and I saw no particular reason to break our already established alliances. Now...

Me: Come with me.

I motion with my hand as well to ensure that the guards know that I want them specifically to come with me as I walk through the doors. After telling them who I am looking for, they leads me down a few corridors and up some stairs before coming to as stop before a door. Opening it reveals the girls from the Sakura Empire whom we'd captured prior.

Me: No need for such concerned looks.

They seem sceptical but at the very least, they calm down enough to no longer be a breath away from absolute terror. I wonder what they've been exposed to since being captured to cause them to be this afraid of me...no matter now.

Me: As you can no doubt tell, we are under attack at the moment.

????: And what? You think we are going to help you fight our own forces?

Looking at the person who's responded, I quickly realise she's the oldest and most likely the leading ship of their party. Her somewhat aggressive tone also indicates that she's controlling her fear much better than her companions and yet...

Me: On the contrary. To start, we don't need your assistance in this battle.

????: Then why-

Me: I've decided to end the war with Crimson Axis.

This catches her by surprise and rather than respond, she remains silent as if wanting to hear more. Seeing this, I take the opportunity to drive home my own interests.

Me: Simply put, we see no reason to continue hostilities with any of the nations within your alliance.

????: And why's that?

Me: We are apparently now at war with Eagle Union and potentially all of Azur Lane.

The room falls silent as they finally realize what I'm saying. Before we can continue any further, however, I receive a call from my sister. Apparently, there is an unidentified ship heading towards the battle.

Me: [Jiangsu, you're free to handle it how you see fit. None of our girls are unaccounted for except for Dalian and you'd know if it's her so no need to hold back.]

Jiangsu: [Ok!]

Turning my attention back to the girls currently with me, I have the guards remove their restraints before leading them outside and to the pier.

Me: So, as I was saying, I'd like a ceasefire for now. Then we can work out the details of the peace treaty alongside any other agreements at a more suitable time and location.

????: That can certainly be arranged.

As they all arm themselves to begin their journey back to the Sakura Empire, I glance around the harbour to find that the enemy has already been pushed well out of the immediate vicinity of the harbour. In fact, it seems like some of the fighting is already well beyond the horizon.

????: Say, what's stopping me from taking you right now?

The guards still with us immediately reach for their weapons but I merely laugh it off

The guards still with us immediately reach for their weapons but I merely laugh it off. When she also laughs and lowers her naginata completely, the others join in and the last tension between us dissipates.

????: How will you receive our response?

Me: Don't worry about that. It will be handled.

????: I-very well.
