Running away as fast as I possibly can, I don't slow down even after the tears completely blur my vision. Tripping, as a result, I soon find myself flat on the ground. Judging from the impact, I'm sure that if I were human I'd have broken a bone. Pushing myself off the ground, I find that the impact was far worst than I anticipated. Even through my tears, I can see cracks in the pavement beneath me indicating where I'd fallen. However, all they do is serve as a reminder of my now broken heart and before long I'm crying once more.
Enterprise: Zhejiang! Wait?
Turning, I'm surprised to find her chasing after me but as she comes into reach and intense rage builds within me, bursting forth as she reaches forward to touch me.
Me: Stay away!
Pushing her away from me, I'm surprised by just how much strength apply. Her face says she's also surprised but it's likely that's for another reason. Still, as she falls towards the nearby pond I feel no remorse, only hatred.
As her skin hits the water, her rig partially deploys, sparing her from being completely submerged. Still, it does nothing for the ends of her hair that begin sinking beneath the water's surface piece by piece.
Enterprise: I love you.
The words catch me by surprise but even more surprising is the speed at which I shut her down. I didn't even get the chance to think before the words had already left my mouth.
Me: Don't lie to me!
Despite my ferocity, she stands and repeats her prior confession. Again, I shoot her down with hostility but this time, it's accompanied by tears. She notices and moves towards me. I resist, partially out of the hostility I still feel towards her but even as I claw at her she wraps her arms around me and secures me in an embrace.
Enterprise: I love you.
Me: Let me go!
Enterprise: I love you!
Me: Let me godammit!
Clawing at her face in an effort to force her to free me, I'm sure the claws at the very least grazes her eyes and yet she doesn't so much as loosen her grip. Instead, she keeps repeating that she loves me, over and over again. Each time it leaves her mouth, it's as though a fresh wave of anger washes over me and my attacks get even more ferocious than before and yet she refuses to let go.
Enterprise: I love you, Zhejiang!
Me: LET ME GO!
Enterprise: Never! I'll never let you go!
Me: AAH!
Blinded by fury, I sink my teeth into her neck, biting as hard as I possibly can. She flinches but maintains her grip. As my teeth sink deeper and deeper, even her proclamations of love cease in her attempt to suppress her scream and yet she simply refuses to let me go.
We continue like this, me biting and clawing to get away, her holding on to me, for some time before my body finally gives in. Exhausted from the emotional turmoil and fighting, I collapse in her arms. As if this is what he's been waiting on all this time, she gently loosens her grip but not entirely so as to allow me to break away easily.
Enterprise: I love you Zhejiang.
Me: Stop...please.
Enterprise: You may not believe me but it's the truth. You mean the world to me. I'm sorry it has taken me this long to see that but I truly can't live without you. Even if it means betraying the Union, I'd rather leave that life behind and be with you than risk losing you forever. I love you Zhejiang and I want you and only you so please, marry me.
