Eagle Union Forces (Third Person)

Cooper: Watch-

BOOOOOM

Cooper gets enveloped by water and smoke as a shell explodes nearby. As she recovers from the shock, she uses the small break to take in her surroundings. To her left, her allies are being pushed further and further away from the harbour. To the right, the flank is collapsing inwards towards the centre. At this rate, they'll be encircled!

????: So this is what Eagle Union is like. How disappointing. At this rate, I won't even get to fully test myself in battle.

Before Cooper can respond, San Francisco and Wichita arrive to support her.

San Francisco: Who's this?

Cooper: I-

A hail of bullets forces them to cut their talk short and begin dodging as the battle for the skies finally catches up to them. Looking up, Cooper can make out Eagle Union planes here and there but it's as though they are merely delaying the enemy and nothing more.

West Virginia: [Continue retreating...fleet...north...nearby.]

San Francisco: Did you hear what-

Another explosion cuts her off. Turning, she finds that the rest of the Eagle Union fleet has already withdrawn another couple miles away from the harbour. Realising what's about to happen she turns, grabs Cooper and begins rushing at top speed to avoid being boxed in. However, as she flees it doesn't take long for her to realise that the Dragon Empery girl that had challenged them isn't following. In fact, she isn't even firing. It's puzzling but she can't afford to stop to find out why.

Two jets scream overhead as the girls continue their hasty retreat. As they vanish in the distance, West Virginia realises for the first time that she hasn't seen Enterprise's jets participate much in the battle. She can't help but think it's suspicious but it is also possible that she has different orders from command. Still, perhaps they'd have a chance if she just...

Georgia: Don't stop! Move! Move! Move!

Georgia's voice pulls Virginia's attention back to the battle in time to see what the panic in her voice is all about. Glancing up, she can hardly believe what she's seeing. Above them, the sky is seemingly blanketed by bombs all plummeting towards the ocean below...towards them.

West Virginia: N-

The ocean seemingly lights up all at once. Every direction reveals nothing but fire, steam and shrapnel. There are screams in some places. There are calls for help in others. Even without getting hit herself, she can tell this battle is lost but just as she's about to surrender, light appears at the end of the tunnel.

There, standing on the edge of the horizon, stands the pride of the Eagle Union. She's their strongest warrior. She stands at the forefront of their fleet. She's known as the Grey Ghost. She's known as the strongest of the strong and with her arrival, salvation has come.
