✜ㅤ──ㅤ﹙𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟎𝟏﹚

A loud sound of gunshots echoed in the dark alley of the town at midnight; an injured man was running for his life, blood oozing from his right arm, and fear was visible in his eyes. As he ran further he bumped into someone and fell on his back and saw a strong, muscular, and tall man with a joker mask on his face wearing a cap. As soon as the injured man saw him, he knew that no one could save him because there stood his death, the most feared and powerful underground mafia, Viper.

The injured man soon grabbed his leg and started to beg, "Please, forgive me, I am sorry. I am sorry, boss. This won't happen again. Please, don't kill me, please, I beg you."

As he said those words, the masked man known as Viper let out a humorous laugh and spoke, "Forgive and you, why would I? You betrayed me when you should be loyal to me, and now you are sorry and expect me to forgive you, NEVER!"

"Boss, please, spare me, I have my wife and children, please don't kill me." The injured man begged again.

"You should have thought about your non-existent wife and children before turning your back to me and joining my enemies." The injured man's eyes widened in horror, he thought the mafia had forgotten about his background and would buy his lies of having a family when he entered the mafia clan saying he had no family in the first place. The man gulped hard. "I. FUCKING. HATE. LIARS. AND. BETRAYERS." With that being said, Viper shot the man right between his eyes and ordered his other men to dispose of the body and went inside his car.

The car ride was silent, the mafia leader was shockingly very calm or more like in deep thoughts, leaning on the side of the car; no one spoke a single word until a blonde-haired male broke the silence, "Viper, what happened? Where is your mind, huh?" The mafia leader looked at the blonde and gave a sad smile.

"Nothing, R.K. Just wondering how much more I have to wait to finish this all those betrayers and go to - -"

"Viper, don't worry, everything will be fine," the guy acknowledged as R.K. interrupted and patted the latter on his back, to which he just nodded.

"WAKE UP, YOU SLEEPYHEAD!" A loud voice echoed in the entire house and the sleepy male fell from his bed while groaning.

"Sunmi Noona, please, stop being this loud early in the morning. Or else one day you will make me deaf," the male said while rubbing his eyes with his fist.

"Then it will be great and then only you will learn your lessons and will wake early," the girl Sunmi spoke.

"Whatever, now please, explain why you woke me up at 6 in the morning?" The brunette inquired.

"Oh, God! Gguk, today is your interview at Kim's at 8, you forgot that!" His sister uttered in shock.

"Shit, shit! How can I forget that? Noona, why didn't you wake me up early? Shit, I am gonna be late," the brunette blabbered as he ran to the bathroom. After doing his daily routine, he dressed in a light blue button-up and black pants.

He went downstairs and had his breakfast. Then Sunmi wished him good luck. And as he was going to hop in the car, his sister warned him, "Jeon Jeongguk, if this time my car gets even a scratch by your clumsiness, then I swear to my lipstick. I am not gonna spare you. Keep that in your that shitty brain understood." He gulped harshly and nodded.

Jeongguk got in the car as he prayed to God, "Please, God, this time don't get me in trouble. And may I safely go to my interview." He started the car and went off. But as usual, luck was not in his favor and -

CRASH!

"Fuck, again I messed up." He sighed and got off the car.

When he got out of the car, he bit his bottom lip because the car he crashed into got damaged. The guy who owned the car got out of his car as well, Jeongguk looked and could not help but admit that the guy was looking handsome and hot with his shining black hair.

But he could not lose his focus on the guy's looks and all. Thus, he quickly averted his eyes from the guy. Jeongguk did not want to lose his pride, so he crossed his arms and raised one eyebrow as if he was questioning the other.

"Why the fuck did you stop abruptly?" Jeongguk asked.

"Excuse me? This is your fault," the male said.

"Me? Huh, if you didn't stop suddenly, then I wouldn't have crashed onto your car. Who the heck would stop at a green light? Are you stupid?!" Jeongguk asked sarcastically, yelling the last part.

The other, who was staring at the male in front of him without even blinking, came back to earth after hearing his shout and blurted out, "Do you even know how fucking expensive this car is?"

"Huh! So, do you think that your stupid car is more precious than my life? Asshole, I'm more precious than that. What would happen if I would have gotten severe injuries and had to go to the hospital? Would you pay that time huh?" Jeongguk yelled and rolled his eyes.

"Oh, God! You are so annoying, whatever. Just fucking pay for what you've done," the ravenette said.

"I won't pay because it's not my fault," Jeongguk declared stubbornly. The guy held both of Jeongguk's arms and gave him a dagger look.

"You're lucky because I am in a hurry or else you would've seen heaven today," the ravenette snapped and then turned back to his car.

"Yeah, yeah! I don't even have time to waste on you. I have to go for my interview. So, you can fucking go to hell!" Jeongguk also yelled and went back to his car.

Soon he reached his destination - The Kim's Group of Industries. He parked his car and went into the building, and asked the receptionist who told him to wait. While he was waiting, a girl came crying from the interview room. And he heard some employees whispering:

"Boss is really pissed off today."

"Yeah, when he came to the office he was really furious."

"God knows, what will happen to the new candidates today."

After hearing all those whispering, Jeongguk started to sweat and became nervous. 'If a beautiful girl like her can get rejected. God knows what will happen to me.' He thought and gulped nervously.

"Jeon Jeongguk, next is you," the receptionist said.

Jeongguk nodded and proceeded. When he entered the room he saw the same guy whose car he hit sitting there and he became furious and went to him.

"What the fuck are you doing here? Are you following me? Oh my God! I can't believe it! You came after me just to take your damage's money!" Jeongguk asked the guy with a pissed-off look.

Just when they were talking or more like only Jeongguk was blabbering, a girl came and spoke, "Mr. Kim, your coffee is ready." As soon as the girl spoke, Jeongguk's pissed-off look immediately changed into a shocked one and his jaw dropped making him lose his words.

After many difficulties, he looked at the girl and finally uttered, "Mr. Kim?!" And the ravenette stood up from his seat and announced,

"Yes, I am Kim Taehyung, CEO of Kim's Group of Industries."
