Taehyung picked up the call while saying, "Hello?"

"Hello, this is Officer Jewoon speaking. I want to talk with Mr. Kim Taehyung." He heard the other side speaking. He was confused and frowned, thinking why would an officer call him at such an odd hour? Nevertheless, he politely replied.

"Yes, I am Kim Taehyung. How may I help you, Officer?" He asked as he looked at Jungkook, who was looking at him with a confused face and mouthed 'what happened?', to which he got a reply back with 'i don't know'.

"Do you know someone named Cha Eunwoo?" The officer asked back. Taehyung's expression seemed to turn into a worried one after that, and he stood up while immediately answering,

"I do know him, he is my best friend. Is something wrong, Officer?" Jungkook could not help but get confused and worried at the same time after hearing their friend's name.

"Well, Mr. Kim, we found a badly injured and lifeless body, along with a dismantled face and a broken bike near the cliff by the highway, and we are afraid it's your friend. Because as per the national card, it says so. And we happen to get your number in his emergency contacts."

The officer informed Taehyung, who froze and became numb in his place. He felt his voice get stuck in his throat, and he was unable to breathe. With great difficulty, he uttered his next words, "W-what?"

The officer could feel his state and sighed before confirming again, "We found his dead body. Please, come and confirm it. We are not sure yet, so don't panic and please, come fast. We have to fulfill other necessities as well."

With that, the call was ended, and soon Taehyung's grip on the phone loosened, as he felt as if the sky fell on him, and his tears were coming also making him unable to breathe properly. Jungkook saw that Taehyung was about to lose his balance, and he acted fast as he caught the blond just in time. The blue-haired male made the other sit on the bed and cupped his face, who had tears in his eyes and was having a hard time breathing. The male was having a panic attack.

"Tae, Tae, Tae, look at me, look at me. Look at me, take a breath in and out. Exhale and inhale. Follow my lead, babe." Jungkook made the blond look at him as he felt his eyes filling up with tears seeing the state of his lover. "Yes, Tigie, just like that. That's like my baby bear," he said when he saw the other following him and trying to catch his breath.

Once Taehyung looked at his fiancé, he started to explain with broken words, "K-koo... E-e-unw-woo... b-ody... clif-ff... dead..." Jungkook did not let him explain further and hugged him quickly.

"Shush! Calm down, Tigie, calm down." Jungkook rubbed his back soothingly, and when he felt the other calm down, he asked, "Now tell me, what happened?"

Taehyung, finally, composed himself and answered, "They are saying that they found some d-dead body and saying it's... it's E-Eunwoo. They are not confirmed yet..."

Jungkook rubbed the older's eyes as he held his face closer to him. "Hey, we haven't seen it with our eyes, right? Stop crying, okay? We have to think wisely and not assume anything." Jungkook patted and rubbed his back, trying his best to calm Taehyung down. But deep down, he was having a bigger breakdown. He was having a weird feeling, and he knew that was not for something good.

They composed themselves and soon reached the said location. Upon reaching there, they could see smoke coming up from the sides. Many bikers were present there, and a place was sealed with police ribbons, officers near that. Without any further ado, they immediately went there. Jungkook was too terrified to ask anything, thus, Jungkook asked, "W-what happened, Officer?"

The officer turned around and explained what happened. "We need you to confirm the dead body," the officer said and gave them the way toward the body. Taehyung, with heavy steps, went forward, with Jungkook following him. Slowly, Taehyung leaned down towards the body's level, and with shaky hands, he removed the sheets away from the face. But, he immediately covered it again and backed away because the face was completely ruined, to even recognize it.
