You know how they say you see your life flashing by in front of you the moment death is near. To me it was the opposite and the only memory I had were Zayn's eyes. I must be insane but it's understanding with the situation I'm in.

My forehead hurts from the gun aimed at me which is roughly pressed on my skin and I don't know how many seconds or minutes passed as I'm looking at the faceless man in front of me, my heart is threatening to thud out of my chest, his arm isn't even shaking meaning this is my end, I close my eyes and wait for the shot to come...

My heartbeat goes into a frenzy but eventually it looks like it is beating in slow motion.. I still wait...

But nothing happened, the participated ruinous shot doesn't come. Instead I feel familiar hands round themselves on my stomach before one is going up next to my head and I open my eyes, my vision line goes to a gun aimed towards the man.

A deep relieved sigh pushed past my lips when I feel his hard chest on my back. When he slides his hand down my waist to squeeze me there then round it back on my stomach, I deflate on his arms taking some calming breaths of his scent and the secure feeling I have. He pulls me closer to him, angling me slightly to the side so the gun is away from me.

"We can make this go in two ways." Zayn calmly said but his tone was dead serious and just so demanding. I shivered when I felt his breath on my neck. "You leave and I shoot you. Or you stay and I shoot you." he quite arrogantly sneered at the ski masked man.

"You're both dead. All of our men will be shortly here." he countered. His voice deep, but scratchy like he consumed too much cigarettes.

"Do you have any idea who you I am and what you got yourself into by getting involved with me? By the time it's midnight I'll have you all tortured to death." Zayn is quick to retort not even caring about that threat.

Caleb is standing behind Zayn after he closed the door of that warehouse with a pair of keys before he aimed his gun towards that unknown man too, winking at my direction. I cringe and turn to Zayn. He approved it because he makes me lean to him, I hide in his shoulder willingly, breathing calmly on his neck. I thought I imagined it but I felt him caress my waist.

Then I hear a shot went off as I grip Zayn's button up, curling my hand in a fist on the hem of the material, my face pressed to his chest. Surprisingly he is warm and his scent is soothing.

"You can look." he whispered on my temple. My heart was thundering, willing to calm down when I release the hold I have on his bottom up then stay a feet away from him.

"You take a car and I will take the office lead." Zayn suddenly said to Caleb but all the time looking at me. He was still near me so I can feel his harsh breath on my face but I don't look up to him. "I'll call if I need you for later." he ordered.

"There's a car waiting for you at the bridge-"

"I know, just go." Zayn said annoyed giving him a side look when I dared to peek at him but I quickly look away when he takes my hand.

We run to the end of the garage where some stairs lead to a wooden made office. I hadn't noticed it until now because of how far it was. I'm still stunned at how big this garage is.

Going up the stairs he doesn't let me time to take a breath nor calm down more, nearly tripping on my jittery feet but I can't dwell on it when he opened the door. He grabs a black jacket throwing it on, tucks some car keys in it. Taking my gun with him that I had in a death grip which he quite easily released, he walks to a window, pushing the curtains so they rip from his anger. Before I know it he opens a window and grips the rim.

"You're not wanting to-" I anxiously begin but he jumped out of it without looking back to me, "jump." I whisper, soon I jolt forward to run and look out of it. I see him safe and sound on the ground looking up to me from very far down.
