School. The one thing I hated the most at the moment. Me being me - and the fact that I was away last week - had caused a whole lot of rumours to errupt and spread. At least I had expected nothing less from my cliché schoolmates and especially that the biggest walking cliché had of course started the rumour. Maddison Greenfield, the slutty barbie doll.
As soon as I entered the building on Monday morning, she was there, waiting for me with a whole lot of people behind. The second she saw me, an evil grin formed on her red lipstick lips and she started crying insults.
"There she is!" Her high pitched voice hurt my ears and and almost instantly, I could feel a headache forming. "There is the slut that slept with Luke Ashton. The one that got pregnant from him and had an abortion last week!"
One of my eyebrows shot up in amusement and surprise. What the fuck? Was that supposed to be an creative insult? It couldn't be less original.
"I saw her enter the abortion clinic last week!" A new voice added, and I looked up to who it was. To my surprise, it was Spence, one of the jocks of the football team. Teaming up now, are we? I always thought he had a crush on her anyway.
"You slut! Don't you have anything to say for yourself beside apologising to me for going behind my back?" Maddison screeched, and I rolled my eyes to the crowd of people who came to see the 'fight'
Sighing deeply, I smiled at Mya and Paul, who were struggeling trough the people to get to me, and spoke calmly, "Aside of the fact whether I slept with Luke or not, which I didn't, I for one don't see why that would be a crime. I'm no apologising for something I haven't done. Besides, you've been in bed with him, Maddison, and while you slept with Luke, you also slept with thirty, forty other dudes. Think for yourself who's the slut here. And Spence, you filthy liar, you couldn't have seen me at any sort of clinic last week, since I was in Florida, with my friend Cain. And no Maddison, he's gay and not interested in your slutty pussy, keep your legs closed girl."
Smiling sweetly at both of them, I joined Mya and Paul, walking to our lockers as the crowd parted for me like I was some sort of god. When I packed the books I needed until the break, a hand came down on my shoulder. I turned around to an amused Luke.
"Back for an hour and already making a scene? Come on Singsong, I expected better from you. You've left some terrible burns. If it weren't Maddison, I'd be tempted to hand out ice packs."
I rolled my eyes at his teasing expression "Oh please, she was just asking for it."
And that was it, I would've been done with the matter if Maddison hadn't tried to have the last word anyway. Flipping her barbie platinum blonde hair, she walked past, calling out, "Luke, you better watch out, you don't wanna catch the freak disease."
And that was it, I was so done with all her blabbing. She had tried to win while she'd already lost and had gone to far.
"Maddison," I spoke, my voice so full of authority and boiling anger that everyone in the hallway stopped moving. Maddison, standing with her back towards us, froze on spot. Luke tried to stop me but I slipped past him, too furious to bother calming down.
Bringing my face dangerously close to hers, I spat, "Maddison, you're better shut your ugly slut mouth right now or I'll tell everybody that one secret you don't want anyone to know and trust me, when when I take that step, I'll go the whole way and ruin everything your reputation still is. If you value anything you still have you stop trying to hurt me because you can't. I have kept quiet all this time and I am seriously itching to spill."
And I could do that, I could do that and she knew it damn well. I had enough dirt on her to make it all crumble beneath her feet.
She paled and I walked away with a smirk, back to my locker. As I closed the door with a bang and casually strolled away, Luke hurried by my side.
