Anybody else binge Banana Fish? Because I feel like crying and I'm not even done. Someone send help. . . please.

Akira's POV

Our final meeting before we headed to the palace the next day commenced. Everyone was gathered around a booth in Café LeBlanc, and even (Y/N) made an appearance after her lesson. My eyes darted over to her every so often, before returning back to the phone Futaba had plugged into her computer searching for any possible lead on Black Mask.

Looking around the group, I watched everyone's interactions. Everyone was focused on who was speaking at that moment, but Akechi's eyes were trained on the phone on the table. Maybe he was just curious as to its unnatural placement, but something was telling me otherwise.

My short conversation with Black Mask was one of the things on the table for today's meeting. . . due to it's recent turn-up, I hadn't gotten to inform anyone prior other than Futaba.

Slight bickering picked up and I looked back into the conversation.

"We're supposed to be discussing where we should send the calling card. . ." Haru trailed off, too scared to break up the side conversation.

"Considering how big the hype's gotten lately, she'll prolly just think it's a prank, won't she?" Ann asked.

Akechi piped in quickly, "I could always put it on Sae-san's desk. People know me there, so I could gain access easily."

How easy would that be for him to get caught.

"That's not a good idea," Morgana said as if reading my mind. "If you're the only one who can get in there, it'll be easily traced back to you."

Makoto sighed deeply. "I'll do it. I can just tell her it came for her in the mail. That would be the least risky method. No matter what she asks, I'll tell her I don't know anything."

"But Makoto, that's. . ." Futaba trailed.

Akechi turned to face me. "You're our leader, so this will be up to you. Should we leave the calling card to Makoto?"

"I trust her with it," I said bluntly.

The process's dangerous, but I don't see a smarter way.

"It's okay guys," Makoto said with a smile, "I've already traversed far more dangerous ground than this."

(Y/N) snorted. "I'll believe that when I see it."

Her comment was ignored aside from Makoto's glares.

Yusuke filled the small gap of silence. "Very well then. We'll enter from in front of the courthouse. Does six o'clock in the evening work for everyone?"

Many forms of agreement passed between everyone.

"Well. . ." (Y/N) started, "if that's everything, Arima-sensei has noticed my lack of practice recently, so I gotta get back on that."

"There's actually one more thing," I spoke up.

Akechi let out a sigh and sat back down, and the rest turned their attention forwards.

"This afternoon, I got a call from Black Mask."

Small gasps came from around the group. (Y/N)'s head perked up at this, lips parting slightly at the surprise.

Continuing on, I looked at each person in the group. "There were some threats made involving our operation tomorrow. I am informing you of this just in case we have to move into uncharted territories. We don't know how strong Black Mask is. . . nor do we know if they are working with the government against us."
