She walked into the familiar house, the silk green dress, he had gifted her, hugging her body, her hair in a bun.His eyes landed on hers, his heart beating faster. She looked magnificent.
Her eyes met with his as they walked towards each other in the crowded room.
"Good Evening," He greeted her.
She smiled. "Hi," She chuckled nervously, overwhelmed with emotions. "I'm gonna get a drink," She told him before brushing past him.
"If everyone could gather please," His brother announced from his position on the beautiful staircase. She made her way to the crowd, finding the familiar Mikaelsons and a few unfamiliar faces. "Welcome. Thank you for joining us. You know, whenever my mother brings our family together like this, it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance."
He looked very handsome, She thought. She admired him from head to toe. A small smile appeared on her face as the two locked eyes, sending butterflies to her stomach.
"Tonight's pick is a centuries-old waltz. So if all of you could please find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom.
"May I have this dance?" He asked, making his way down the stairs.
She smiled. "Yes, you may" He offered his hand to her before making their way to the rest.
He couldn't keep his eyes off her, taking in all her beauty as they waltzed around the beautiful room. "You look ravishing in that dress," He smiled, his dimples displaying.
"Thank you," She spoke, butterflies swarming her stomach.
"You're quite the dancer," He told her, waltzing around the room.
She turned her head to admire the other people as they danced. "I used to watch Indian movies all day for about six months straight. You learn stuff," She told him, her attention on everyone around the two. He twirled her, switching partners.
She gave her new partner an awkward smile before stapling her attention to him.
Why am I feeling this way? She thought to herself. She can't feel this way, she convinced herself. He killed Jenna. He somewhat killed Elena.
After all, he is the bad guy.
"Why the hell are you here with him?" Damon remarked as the two waltzed together.
She sighed. "Can we not do this right now."
"No. You have been sneaking out every night and no one barely even sees you anymore." Damon expressed.
She rolled her eyes. She really didn't want to do this right now. "Damon, please stop making it your business to look after me."
"It is my business." He told her.
