Every night, the two would sit together on that mat, looking up at the sky. Blinded by the fact that they were slowly falling."Why do you come here every night, you hate me," He asked her. He couldn't help but think why she willingly kept him company every night.
She looked up at the sky. "Everyone needs a friend. Even someone as bad as you"
His heart skipped a beat. He adored her. He adored her smile, He loved how kind she is, How smart she is, How caring she is. He adored her.
"I've heard from Kol," Finn informed the two women as they walked through the cemetery. "He's looking for the young witch. I imagine he'll find her soon enough,"
"It's a shame you and Kol will miss dinner," Esther remarked. "Although it is best that Niklaus does not know about you. And it's best Kol's new identity remains unknown. This new witch you've brought me, Lenore..." She spoke to Finn. "...She seems rather stubborn."
Finn smiled. "Mother, I'm sure Syrah and I would be happy to open her up to new possibilities" Syrah agreed with the Oldest sibling for the first time.
"Have Oliver and Syrah handle her," Esther added. "Your means of persuasion will be needed for dinner. Have we received any response to our invitation?" She asked.
"I imagine your message had quite the effect," Finn stated. "He and Elijah have been on the move all day,"
Esther smiled. "Of course, Clever boys. Make sure you're ready for this evening. And you, make sure you're ready for your cover"
"I've handled everything as you've instructed," Finn responded.
"I'd expect nothing less from you..." Esther stated. "...Finn," She said before Finn grabbed Syrah's wrist dragging her into one of the tombs where a somewhat short blonde man stood.
"You torture your own?" The man asked, disgustedly staring at the chained-up witch.
"No. I persuade," Finn smiled. "I'd like for you two to do the same." He added. "She had some visitors earlier today. I'd like to know what they wanted." He spoke to them before turning the salt timer. "Don't dally," He added before leaving.
Syrah turned her head to the blonde, finding him texting someone. "Who the hell are you texting?" She asked rudely.
"None of your damn business," The blonde man spat.
She sped towards him, pushing him against a wall, her hand wrapped around his throat. "It is my damn business when you're texting someone something you're clearly not supposed to tell. Now, who the hell are you texting?"
"I'm not telling," The blonde responded, making Syrah clench her jaw in anger. Her hearing caught up on someone walking towards the tomb. She recognized those steps. Hayley's. She sped out of the tomb, finding a place to hide.
"What happened to you?" Hayley asked, noticing Oliver's situation.
"Some vampire Cassie has working for her," Oliver snarled.
Hayley raised her eyebrows in interest. "There's a vampire working with Cassie? Who is it?" Hayley's voice rang through the hybrid's ears. She must've found her family, Syrah thought. She didn't realize how much she missed her best friend until she saw her, standing merely fifty feet away from her.
"I don't know," Oliver answered. "But she came in here with the Vincent guy and she caught me texting you so she pushed me against the wall and yelled at me before running out of here," Syrah heard him say. "Anyway, They worked her over pretty good," He pointed to the witch in manacles.
