Syrah rested her head against the window in the back seat. "Where are we going?" She asked again."Just wait," Hayley answered from the passenger seat.
Syrah gulped, looking out the window. She kept telling herself it was okay to be in the same car as klaus but she didn't believe it.
She took deep breaths, she tried sleeping, she looked outside but nothing. The butterflies in her stomach didn't leave and no matter what, she felt as if Klaus would lean back and kill her.
Klaus turned, pulling into a hidden lane, surrounded by trees. The original looked into the rare view mirror, watching Syrah look out the window.
He couldn't say anything to her. How could he? Everyone in the car could hear hear Syrah's unsettling heartbeat. Every time he tried to say something, it was as if he couldn't speak.
"We're almost there," Klaus finally brought himself up to say.
Syrah shifted in her seat. His voice scared her. Actually, everything about him scared her.
Syrah looked in the front, as a house appeared. It was cream white, with an old-looking exterior and big windows. As they got closer, two people appeared in her eye-line, Rebekah and Elijah. And then she saw a baby.
Before the car could even stop, Hayley jumped out, running towards them.
Klaus turned around. "Come on," He got out of the car, waiting for Syrah.
She took a deep breath, getting out of the car and walking towards Hayley. "Who is that?"
Klaus turned to her. "That's our daughter."
Syrah froze. She watched as Hayley picked her up, breathing her in before walking towards Syrah.
"Sy, this is Hope." Hayley said, offering Hope to Syrah.
The hybrid picked her up carefully, her heart beating fast.
Everyone watched as Syrah held Hope. She was mesmerized by her. She felt an unexplainable sense of love and affection.
Syrah looked up at Hayley. "I- I thought you said she-"
"We had to convince the world of her death," Klaus said. "It was the only way to keep her safe,"
Syrah turned to him, giving Hope to Klaus, as quick and safely as she could. She watched as he held her carefully, a smile appearing on his face.
He looked up at Rebekah, giving her a big smile, before placing a kiss on Hope's head.
"Curse on the firstborn?" Syrah asked. "What the hell is that supposed to be?"
"According to Finn, our sister Freya didn't die of the plague." Klaus spoke. "She was taken as payment by our aunt Dahlia who then cursed all Mikaelson firstborns for eternity."
"Is any of this true?" Hayley asked, throwing sticks into the unlit fireplace outside.
Elijah turned to her. "It is if we're to believe Finn who learned it from the bastion of truth, our mother."
"No wonder Finn hates us. He lost the sister he adored and instead he got judgy pack of siblings who found him unbearably dull." Rebekah scoffed.
"Great, so is there any chance of us running into your Aunt Dahlia soon?" Syrah asked, folding her arms.
"Fable's over a thousand years old," Elijah answered. "Dahlia's long dead,"
"Like Esther?" Hayley raised her eyebrows.
