Last time on In Love with a Killer:
"Oh Little One, I'll never leave you." Yami kissed Yugi's other cheek and pressed his forehead against Yugi's and looked deep into his eyes.
Yugi smiled and blushed a deep crimson, "Thank you."
Chapter Fourteen: Finally! I Know It!
He wasn't sure when it happened, much less how, but Yugi always felt his heart swell every time he saw Yami. Just the mere presence of him made it beat faster and out of rhythm. He still had so many questions about the older male, questions that he felt he should ask face to face and not on paper. Though, he'd have to make sure it was also alright with the other. Anyway, he was currently enjoying a nice quiet Sunday morning with a simple cup of tea. He was glad that winter break was finally here and he was able to relax at home without a care. "I wonder what I should do today..." He whispered to himself.
Feeling quite bored and a little lonely, he decided to go and simply take a walk around town. He drank up the rest of his tea and grabbed his jacket and keys before exiting his home. He slipped on the jacket and put his hands in his pockets as he began his walk. He soon found himself strolling through the park with the last of the autumn leaves falling around him from the trees. He stopped to admire the scenery before him and silently wished winter didn't have to come so soon. The sound of leaves crunching behind him made him whip his head to the source of the noise.
He gasped as he gazed into the crimson eyes of none other than him. "Ph-Pharaoh?! Wha-what are you d-doing here?" Yugi asked as his widened eyes traveled over the form of the newcomer.
Yami chuckled before he walked over to Yugi's side and held his hand, "I saw you walking by yourself which I assumed was pretty lonely so I thought we could walk together."
Yugi blushed a bright red and smiled sheepishly, "Th-Thank you, Pharaoh."
"Well, shall we?" Yami said as he lightly squeezed Yugi's hand.
"Of course!" Yugi exclaimed as the two began walking together down the path.
Some time later, the two could be found watching the sunset as they stood side by side. Yugi then unconsciously interlocked his fingers with Yami's, though the other didn't seem to notice and if he did then he obviously didn't mind. Yami smiled at his innocence, leaned over and kissed his temple. The young teen giggled and blushed a deep cerise before leaning his head on Yami's shoulder. "So cute, come here Little One," Yami took Yugi by the waist and embraced him lovingly. Yugi happily returned the hug and deeply inhaled the calming scent of Yami's cologne. "Come Little One, it's getting late so let me walk you home," Yami said as he pulled out of the hug and gently tugged Yugi towards his home. Yugi nodded in agreement and followed Yami all the way to his own home.
As the two reached Yugi's home, Yami suddenly picked up the teen bridal style and effortlessly jumped to his bedroom window. He opened it up and slipped in, setting Yugi down on his feet before straightening out any ruffles in his Little One's clothes. Yami kissed Yugi's forehead before saying goodbye to his Little One and slipping back out the window and out into the night. Yugi smiled and touched his forehead where Yami had just kissed, feeling a tingling sensation still there. Yugi sighed in contentment and looked around his dark room before flopping down on his soft bed. He stared up at the ceiling as everything that had just happened began to sink in.
Realizing that he wouldn't be able to get any sleep with so much stuff on his mind, Yugi decided to go for a nightly walk to clear his head. He shivered a bit as the brisk night air ruffled his hair and made his jacket sway. The young teen zippered up his jacket before walking down the sidewalk as street lights brightened up the night's darkness. After about twenty minutes, Yugi felt his legs start to go numb from all the cold and walking. Just then, something moved out of the corner of his eyes so he whipped his head around to see a strange figure leap from a nearby rooftop to another and another and so on.
'Was that who I thought it was?' I thought to myself as I turned back and looked at the house that the figure had originally jumped off of. 'If that really was him then there's the slight chance that I may have just found out his address...' I bit my lip as I weighed out the all the possible outcomes of knocking on that door. I took a deep breath and said to hell with it as I mustered up all my courage and knocked on the front door. I waited patiently before I heard a click and Atemu opened the door. "May I help you?" Atemu asked me as he quirked a brow.
"Uh, are you Atemu?" I asked him even though I already knew the answer.
"Yes... and who are you?"
"I'm Yugi," I said before I saw Atemu's face light up.
"You're Yugi?! Well, why didn't you just say so?! Please, come in!" Atemu exclaimed as he opened the door wider for me. I silently thanked him before stepping into the home. It was decorated rather nicely, it really made one doubt that a murderer lived here. "Would you like something to drink or eat?" Atemu's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Huh? Oh, no thank you," I said politely.
"Well then, what cha here for? I don't want to seem rude, I was just wondering," Atemu said as he sat down on the leather sofa and gestured for me to do the same.
I sat down and explained to him how, "I couldn't sleep so I decided to go on a walk to clear my head a little, but then I saw the Pharaoh jump off the roof of this house so I thought that this was his house and I'm really glad it actually is and not just some stranger's."
"Pharaoh? Do you mean my brother, Yami?" Atemu asked as he tilted his head to the side a little. I gasped, 'Yami?! Is that his real name?! Oh my gosh, I know his name!' I silently did my happy dance inside my head and thanked the gods that I finally found out his name. "Um, Yugi? Hey, anyone in there?!" a tanned hand was waved in my face which snapped me out of my trance.
"Huh? Oh, yeah! Sorry, I'm just really glad to finally know his name! The curiosity has really been killing me lately..." I replied sheepishly as Atemu smiled and nodded knowingly.
"Yeah, Yami can be frustrating with how secretive he is sometimes," Atemu said as he crossed his right leg over his left.
"Tell me about it," I said before me and Atemu both shared a laugh. Once we stopped, Atemu was the first to speak.
"Well, you might want to get back home before he gets to your house first, wouldn't want him to go on a rampage if he didn't know where you were," Atemu told me.
"You're right, I should get going. It's getting pretty late anyway..." I said as I stood up from the couch and went over to the door.
"Alright, see you later then Yugi," Atemu said as he opened the door for me and waved. I waved back and started my walk back home. When I arrived, I immediately noticed how some things were knocked over and all about on the floor. Just then, I heard a loud crash from upstairs and I was frozen in my spot. 'Oh no! There's a robber in the house! What am I supposed to do?!' I bit my lip as I slowly made my way up stairs. There was some shuffling and I could tell it was coming from my room. I hesitantly gripped the doorknob and slowly turned it to open the door...
What happens next? Who is the person that Yugi finds? And who else is happy that I've finally updated this after 6 damn months?!
