Last time on In Love with a Killer:
Then that means it was just a dream, but still. Who was that man and who were those seven people that all held the millennium items and finally what does it all mean? These questions raced in my mind while I got up and started my day...
Chapter Four: A Normal Day...
I started my day as any normal one, but little did I know it would be anything but normal. Anyway, I got dressed in my normal school uniform and fixed my bed as I normally would. I brushed my teeth and combed through my bed head all normal like. I even eat the normal breakfast with my normal grandpa. After I ate, I walked my normal route to school. Along the way, catching up with my normal friends. I went to all my normal classes and ate a normal lunch at the normal time.
I went through the day like it was any other normal day. I came home and ate a normal snack, until I had to go to my room upstairs and finish the normal homework I always got. Once I completed the normal work, I put it back in my normal bookbag and laid down to rest my normal tense muscles for a moment. That was, until I heard a loud, abnormal crash that came from downstairs. I jumped to a sitting position on my bed and listened. I waited and listened in silence until I heard another crash.
When I did, I ran out my room and down the stairs. When I reached the bottom, I cautiously took in my surroundings. "Grandpa?" I called out for the elderly man that I lived with. I didn't hear nor see him so I moved on to the next room, the kitchen. What I saw I there, I couldn't believe. There was my grandfather lying on the cold, hard tile floor, limp and lifeless. His clothes were stained with blood and his eyes had rolled back so all you could see in them was white emptiness.
The smell of blood had come at my nose full force, filling my nostrils with the putrid scent of the red liquid. Before I knew it, tears were spilling down my face and blurring my vision in the slightest. And even with vision that wasn't the clearest, I was still able to see that dreaded Eye of Horus symbol drawn in blood on the floor next to the corpse that was once my grandfather. Words could not begin to describe how I felt at that moment, not emotionally at least.
How I felt physically though, I could describe quite easily. I felt dizzy and I couldn't see all that well, not to mention how this all would surely leave a mental scar. My knees were weak and I was barely able to keep my balance as I wobbled over to the dead body of my grandpa. Soon after, my tears came faster and harder and mixed with the growing pool of redness beneath me. Just then, a thought came to my mind. The murderer only killed criminals, so why did he target my grandpa?
I was so focused on my current situation that I had failed to notice that a note had gently landed next to me out of nowhere, and even after I saw it I still didn't touch it. I was just so caught up in the billions of questions swirling around in my head. Like what was going to happen next, or how was I going to get by without my grandfather? But the one that most confused me was why the person killed my grandpa, he was innocent and all I had left...
What will happen next? What did the note say? And why was Yugi's grandfather murdered by our not so mysterious murderer? And will my questions always be so tedious and obvious? Yes, yes they will~
