My Little One then leaned up and presses our lips together, I happily kissed back. Too engrossed into his soft lips to notice the eyes that watched from the window...

Chapter Nineteen: Unlikely Enemy

'It's been a few weeks since the incident with Téa and I'm still debating in my mind on whether or not I should tell Yami about it. I mean, he'd understand right? He does it all the time for me, he's killed Ushio and those guys so murder is nothing new to him. Still, what if he doesn't like me anymore if I tell him? Would he think I'm a crazy, bloodthirsty psychopath? I did it for him, after all...' My thoughts were interrupted after I felt the car stop. I was suddenly snapped out of the trance like state I was just in and looked up at Yami who had been driving the car.

"We're here," he said with a soft smile as he turned the car off and got out. I was about to do the same but my door had already been opened before I even looked back to it. Yami was standing there with an outstretched hand and welcoming smile. 'When did he get to my side of the car? I barely saw him move...' I shook the thoughts away and took Yami's hand. He helped me out of the car and we walked to his front door. He unlocked it with his keys and opened it for me, letting me walk in first by stepping out of the way.

I blushed, 'For a murderer, he's such a gentleman.' I walked into the house and saw Atemu sitting on the couch watching TV with a remote in his hand. He was flipping through the channels when I called out to him, "Hey Atemu!"

I saw him jump before he looked to me and smiled brightly, "Hey Yugi, Yami told me you'd be moving in."

I nodded and sat down next to him, "Yup, after I told him what happened, he insisted I stay with him so he can keep me safe."

"That's my brother for ya," he replied with a chuckle.

I smiled, 'And I'm lucky to have him.' Just then, I saw Yami walk up the stairs with two boxes in hand, 'I guess he's taking up the stuff from the game shop...'

"Say Yugi, your necklace looks a little loose, can I tighten it up for you?" Atemu suddenly asked me, pointing to the inverted pyramid around my neck.

He was referring to the rope that I used to keep it in place, "Sure, thanks." I then felt him grab the pyramid and yank on it so the rope began choking me.

He pulled hard on it, "How did you get it?!" He whispered-yelled in my ear, "Tell me!"

"I d-don't know what y-you're talking a-about..." I managed to gasp out.

"Liar!" His voice had an accusing edge to it that I'd never heard before. Then again, I had only met him once...

"I-I swear, I just f-found it... on my dr-dresser one day..." My lungs became desperate for air as he pulled harder.

"I've been searching for this puzzle for years and you're telling me it just fell into your pathetic little hands?!" Vemon dripped from the words he spoke.

I could see black spots that began to disrupt my vision, my body starting to go numb. Suddenly, the airway to my lungs wasn't being blocked anymore and I instinctively began to cough and gasp for air. After a few moments I was left panting on the couch with Atemu glaring at me and Yami rushing to my aid. He frantically began patting my back and asking me what had happened. I shook my head and simply buried my face in his chest, I felt tears brim my eyes before falling on to Yami's shirt. I whimpered out his name and clutched him tightly, I felt him hug me close and I soon relaxed in his arms. He asked Atemu what had happened, but I didn't know his response because he didn't vocalize it.

I could feel him pick me up and carry me away, when I looked up I saw a nicely furnished room with the boxes from my old home in the corner. "You're going to be sleeping with me in my room, okay?" Those words made my cheeks flush and my heart pound.

"But w-why?" I stuttered out as Yami sat me down on the bed.

"Well for one, the heater in the guest room is broken and two, I just guessed that you'd rather be with me. Do you want the guest room instead?" He tilted his had with a hint of sadness in his eyes.

"No, no, I'd love to sleep with you! W-wait, that came out wrong, I-I don't mean like that! I mean just sleeping next to each, not anything like... THAT... I-I mean, I'm not saying I never want to do that with you I'm just saying I-mm!!" My ranting was suddenly interrupted by soft and warm lips being pressed against my own.

I soon relaxed into the kiss and kissed back, feeling him snake his arms around my waist. I instinctively wrapped my own around his neck and pulled him closer, the gap between us being slowly eliminated as the seconds passed. I then suddenly felt him pull me flush against his chest, I squeaked in surprise and he slid his tongue past my now parted lips. I moaned as he played with my tongue and explored my mouth, my fingers found their way into Yami's silky hair and I lightly tugged at the locks. When we both pulled back for air, a string of saliva still connected our lips as we panted. Before I knew it, that one kiss had turned into a full fledged make-out session.

I was grabbing at the back of his shirt and clutching his shoulders, he had pushed me down on the bed and kissed down to my neck. He undid my choker and began licking and kissing my neck, that was until he suddenly stopped. "What's this bruise on your neck?" He asked as he ran his thumb along the choke bruise I must've gotten from Atemu. I bit my lip, what was I supposed to say? I couldn't just tell him that his brother was choking me with my necklace, he'd never believe that!.

"U-um, I-I did it to... myself..." I looked away from his rose colored eyes and gripped the fabric of his shirt.

"Really? Because it doesn't look self-inflicted. Believe me when I tell you, I know how choke bruises work." He said with a hard gaze directed at me. He's right, did I really think I could lie to a murderer about a murder method? I still couldn't tell him his own flesh and blood choked me, something inside me told me he just wouldn't believe that.

"Um, it happened d-during the Tea incident..." He crossed his arms.

"I thought you said she came at you with a knife?" He raised a brow and began to tap his fingers on his arm.

"She did! She choked me and then stabbed me with a knife!" His expression only grew more impatient.

"You know, changing your story like that doesn't make it more believable, in fact it makes people think you were lying the whole time." I chewed at my bottom lip nervously. I was trapped, cornered. He caught me in the lie, what do I do now?

What will happen next? What will Yugi say? How will Yami react? What did Atemu mean by what he said and what will he do next? Just what is he truly capable of?
