CH 14. Getting To Know Him Fully

Hey yall!!! I finally can do this chapter, I've had plenty of time to think about what to do with this chapter and I'm blessed! Hope yall enjoy this!

Well, we were back onto the road again, driving as much as we could and as far as we could, away from the CDC, trying not to run out of gas, because that would just suck far as I'm concerned. I'm riding with Shane, right now, like I have been doing and he just looks so sexy and so pure, that I knew, I didn't want him to ever leave my side, ever. Even if we did get into an argument, I still wouldn't want him to leave my side, I want him to be there to protect me, to love me, to treat me the way I deserve to be treated and so far, thats what I got and I'm just fine with it. I noticed he had had quiet for a while so I turned my head away from the window and smiled looking straight at him. "So uh... honey, t-tell me about you.. I wanna know more about you."

Shane was driving, his hands gripped to the steering wheel. He looks at me at a quick glance and a smirk popped up on his lips. "Whatchu wanna know, darlin?" He said in his thick sexy southern accent, I shrug my shoulders and thought for a moment. "Well, how do you know Rick? Did you guys meet at the campsite?" I asked him and he shakes his head at me. "No, we met in high school, we became best friends instantly, and I love that man like he's my brother." He said with a smile on his face.

I had to admit, his smile was sexy as hell, even his beautiful blue eyes, everything about him was just perfect, I nod my head at him thinking of a question to ask him, I really wanted to get to know him even if they were going to die anytime. "That's awesome, Rick seems friendly and really sweet. I can tell how much he loves Lori and Carl."

Shane nodded his head and looked at me, something changed his demeanor and it was really weird. "Yeah well.." he clears his throat. "I don't think he loves Lori like he says he does.." He got silent, he looked angry which made me confused. Was Rick abusive, lowkey and the only person who knew it was Shane? Was Rick a cheater and Shane knew?? What was going on, now??

Now being curious, I look over at him some more, and I go to grab his hand, but I decided not to. I sigh. "W-well.. what makes you say that?? Is he a cheater..?" I ask him, very confused. He shakes his head. "No, he just don't give me credit.." That's the only thing he had said, which made me even more confused. "Credit?? For what?"

"For saving his damn wife and son!" He yelled, smacking his steering wheel which made me jump from the noise and his yelling. "S-shane.. uh..-" I go to say. "H-he did though, when he got back..he said he couldn't thank you enough-" "Shut up!" He yelled, interrupting me, making me jump again, very upset that he yelled, told me to shut up and is pretty much freaking out on me, just for starting a conversation.

I nod my head and kept quiet. "I-I'm s-sorry.. I-I didn't-" He interrupts me again by yelling, surprise surprise. "You never know, do you?!" He screamed at me and I look away, very confused on why he was acting like this. "S-Shane... b-baby.. I truly DON'T know... w-what happened out there..?" He takes a deep breathe and gripped the steering wheel some more. "I-I thought he died..." He started to tear up, and it sounded like his voice was cracking. I nodded my head, wanting to listen more, I grab his thigh with my hand, caressing it slowly. He shakes his head and wiped his tear. "N-nothing.. nevermind, it doesn't matter.." He looks away, continuing to drive, not saying anything else, I was very confused and lost. Was he hiding something???

I just stayed quiet, until I noticed Daryl driving up to us who was on his Harley. He had shrugged her shoulders, motioned us to head straight and Turned back around, heading straight.

Everyone of us, get out of our vehicles, and start looking around, for things. My mind was sad, I even looked sad. Shane yelled, told me to shut up, and to pretty much, mind my own business, and then when I wanted more information out of him, he told me to leave it be, and to drop it, in a nutshell. Why was the conversation about Rick, turned into an argument?? Did him and Rick have something hiding in the closet that they aren't telling anybody? Did they fight before they reunited and before the apocalypse started??
