makayla's pov
"Makayla let's go we are going to be late!" My mom screams from downstairs.

"Im coming mom!" I just finished zipping up my suitcase and begin to drag the heavy luggage out my door.

Maybe I packed too much shit.

I rush down the stairs almost eating shit.

Lovely.

I'm wearing the black cdg converse, black sweatpants and a grey hoodie with my hair in a low messy bun. For makeup I just have light concealer, blush and mascara.

I say a quick goodbye to my cat eleanor and we head out the door.

I put my suitcase and carry on bag in the back seat and hop into the front.

School got out 2 days ago for summer and Jett offered to fly me out to la.

"Can I be on aux?" I ask turning to my mom

"What the fuck is aux" she says with the most confused face I've ever seen.

"BAHHA MOM" I laugh.

"What? what is it?" She questions

"Can I play music?" i ask with a grin "oh yeah sure I don't care" she says as we back out of the driveway

The car ride to the airport was torture, I honestly did miss Jett a lot. We have always been close siblings, he flew down to la around 2 months ago but we still call every few days

Jett has always been into cars and always tells me about how him and one of the people he met in LA, Vinnie are picking up a new car to work on.

Now since I'm snoopy I looked up vinnie on social media and all I gotta say is dayum homeboy can get it

I wouldn't consider myself popular, I do have 15.5k followers on tik tok but that's only from getting on the fyp a few times and when jett was still home we would make vids together

We got to the airport with just enough time for me to go through security and bag checks

(an: idk how airports work i've never been on a plane bahah)

I boarded my plane, put my airpods in and decided to nap cause what else am I supposed to do?

*little time skip*

As I get off my plane I decide to call jett while I wait for my luggage

"Hey are you here? My plane just landed" I ask him "yeah I'm just pulling into my parking spot, I brought a friend with me since we were already in town I hope that's okay?" he said "yeah that's totally fine I'm just waiting for my bag this thing in taking forever" I complain "okay see you soon" he says "bye bye"

I end the call and shove my phone in my pocket, impatiently waiting for my suitcase to show up.

I finally see my suitcase come around on the conveyor belt and I grab it, turning around to see jett walking in with someone next to him, he's wearing some white sneakers, black cargo pants, a black hoodie with some red writing I couldn't make out and a black beanie

holy fuckin shit who the fuck is that

"Makayla!" jett yells running towards me "Jett!" I say jumping into a hug, he starts swaying us side to side

"I missed you dude" I say pulling away from the hug "I missed you too mick" he smiles

Mick and Micky are my nick-names for some reason

"Oh yeah this is vinnie by the way" he says pointing to the tall guys standing beside him

"Oh the car guy" I say looking over to him and putting my hand out for a handshake

"Yeah the car guy" he says, a little awkward, while returning the handshake

"Nice to meet you Vinnie, my name is-" "makayla right?" he cuts me off "correct" i say smiling

Jett brings my suitcase to the car and puts it in the trunk while me and vinnie get in

why is jett taking so long this is awkward

I turn around to see him on a phone call

Oh great

"Soo, are you excited to be in LA?" Vinnie asks looking back at me, which causes me to look up from my phone where I was pretending to be occupied

"Yeah I really want to see it at night though, like you know all the lights and tall buildings and stuff" I reply

"Well I'd be happy to take you on a drive one night and show you some cool spots" he smiles

Um yes please God yes

"Yeah that'd be awesome" I reply with a smile

"Alright it's a plan" he says smiling

There's a moment of silence between us where Vinnie seems to just be analyzing me.. the awkward tension was luckily cut short when Jett's door opens

"Sorry, mom was on the phone. She said she hadn't heard from you and was worried the plan hadn't landed." He says looking at me through the mirror "shit i forgot to text her" i mumble

"I'll take you to the house and introduce you to everyone" he says starting the car

"Sounds good" I say nervously
