vinnie and i stayed up almost all night on facetime playing valorant and planning out what we would do when he got here

words cannot explain how excited i am to see him

my mom got home at 5:30am this morning gushing about her trip, she went to fucking hawaii with some dude she met at work

i was glad to see her happy but also frustrated because she does this so often

i'm upstairs making my bed when i hear a shout from my mom downstairs

"makayla come on! jett's plane lands in thirty minutes!"

"okay i'm coming chill out!" i yell back heading downstairs

she lets me drive to the airport and lets me play my music, the drive felt like forever

we got to the airport at 6:52am, my hands were shaky and jittery

we sit on a bench near where the luggage comes in and wait

and wait

and wait

it's now 7:05am and i haven't heard from vinnie

come onnnnnn

my phone vibrates in my lap, i go to quickly pick it up but it falls out of my hand and onto the floor

"dammit" i whisper under my breath

"hon, u okay?" my mom asks as i pick up my phone brushing the small specks of dirt off

"yeah i'm fine"

i rush my mom over to the gate and impatiently wait for vinnie and jett to walk through

i'm also unexplainably excited to see jett, i miss him just as much as i miss vinnie

i see people start to walk through the gate, my heart starts vibrating

soon enough vinnie and jett come walking through

i run over taking them both into a hug at the same time

"i missed u guys so much" i whisper between them

i feel both their arms wrap around either side of me returning the hug

i pull away giving jett his own hug and then move over to vinnie while jett hugs my mom

he pulls me into an extremely tight hug kissing the top of my head

"i missed u my love" he whispers as i tighten my arms around him as much as i can

"i missed u too" i whisper, it's a little muffled since my face is pressed into his chest

his grip loosens and i look up to see him staring behind me i turn my head to see my mother eying him down

oh god

"u must be the famous vinnie hacker i've heard so much about" she smiles walking towards him

"that's me" he grins "it's so nice to meet u"

she pulls him into a short hug

a hug mom? really?

"i see our stuff" jett blurts out breaking the awkward tension

my mom and jett walk over to the conveyor belt as vinnie catches up to me

"sorry about that" i giggle to vinnie
