chapter 2

second chapter babies let's go. i cannot express how genuinely excited i am for this book. i, for some reason am pretty confident with my writing so i hope it's as good as i think it is. remember to drink some water and grab a lil snack. reminder thoughts are in italics:)
Makayla's pov
We pull up to this huge ass mansion surrounded by cars, go carts, a lovely pool and some trash. "This place is fucking huge" I say, my jaw basically on the floor. Vinnie was turned around smiling at my reaction

"Wait till you see the inside" Jett grins, we all get out of the car, and Jett grabs my suitcase from the trunk.

We head to the front door. I was a little nervous to meet everyone but from what Jett had said about them, I knew I had nothing to worry about

I follow behind Jett and Vinnie, as they open the doors and Jett sets my suitcase aside.

We walk through the doors and I can immediately hear voices, yelling, and laughter coming from the kitchen which immediately calmed any nerves I had

I knew this bunch was chaotic and I was honestly excited to be able to witness it firsthand

Jett takes us to the kitchen where I see about 10 people sitting around the island, "guys this is my sister Makayla" he says.

It goes silent as everyone stares at me, I swallow hard and give a friendly smile

"Hi Makayla it's so nice to see you, Jett has told us so much about you. I'm Thomas" a taller black haired boy makes his way over to me and shakes my hand.

"Nice to meet you" I say smiling

I'm introduced to everyone but someone didn't seem so happy I was there. A girl named Mia barely acknowledged me and walked out of the kitchen after I said hi to her

Did I do something wrong oh no

Jett and I were in his room taking turns playing valorant when I realized what time it was

"Shit I gotta get to my air bnb and unpack" I say standing up off his bed "okay I'll drive you there" he says turning off his monitor

We start heading downstairs and we pass the main area where Alex, Kouvr, Micheal and his girlfriend are sitting on these huge bean bags.

"Hey where are u guys going?" Alex asks "I gotta get back to my place where I'm staying and unpack, it was lovely to meet you guys though!" I say opening the door

"Wait Makayla wait" Alex says standing up to walk over to us

"What's up?" I ask.

"Why don't you just stay here we plenty of empty rooms" he offers.

"Oh thank you but I don't want to impose" I smile

"Dude we don't care it's a huge ass house you're more than welcome to stay here" he says "oh and here comes Thomas I'll double check with him" he runs off into the kitchen

"This is awesome" Jett smiles "I was originally going to have you stay here but we were sorting some things out with members so I didn't want to accidentally leave someone without a room" he explains

I give him a look to say that it's okay

Alex comes back over to us "yup it's all good I'll let you pick out a room" he smiles

After getting settled into my room I realized I forgot toothpaste.

I was stepping out of my bedroom door to go find Jett, when I was met with Vinnie about to walk into his room across from mine

"Oh hey what's up?" He asks me smiling

"I forgot toothpaste" I say with a sigh

"You can borrow mine" he says walking into his room

I awkwardly stood outside waiting before I hear a "are you coming?" From inside his room

I step inside and close the door behind me because I remembered, when Jett was giving me the tour, he told me to always make sure Vinnie's door is shut, he only reminded me because I was right across from Vinnie so I'd be seeing his door lots

All of the sudden I feel something soft rub my ankles and I see a little cat purring

I immediately bend down and snuggle it "oh hello, who's this" I coo at the little animal

"That's Hera" Vinnie says walking over to me

I stand up and face him, he was a lot closer to me than I thought

He was looking down at me considering he was decently taller than me

"Toothpaste" he says handing me the tube

"Thanks you're a life saver" I say taking the toothpaste

I turned around to leave his room

"Hey it's late don't you need a ride to your air bnb?" he asks "you're going to owe me toothpaste if you take it" he says with a joking smile

Oh so he's funny now

"Oh! Um no I don't, Thomas is letting me stay here" I said with a smile

"That explains why you were coming out of one of the spare rooms" he says with a face that looks like he just solved the worlds biggest mysteries

"Yeah, it's luxurious" I start "got an entire air mattress to myself" I boast

In comparison to Vinnie's king size bed, monitor set up, fully personalized room

He let's out a chuckle as he bends down to pick up Hera, giving her multiple kisses on the cheek

I smile warmly, already missing my baby kitty at home

"Anyways it's late I should probably head to bed" I say. "Thanks again for the toothpaste, I'll bring it back in a second" I say gesturing to the tube in my hand

I hadn't fully seen his pc set up but got a glimpse of it

"Nice set up you got there" I say motioning to it

"Thanks" he laughs "you're into gaming?" he asks

"Yeah Jett and I have our own pcs at home we used to play all the time" I say walking over to his desk and checking it out

"That's sick" Vinnie says

"Yeah, well now I'm actually gonna head to my room and get ready for bed, I'll leave this by your door. See you tomorrow, and thank you again Vinnie" I say heading towards the door

"It's no problem, and goodnight Makayla" he smiles

I smile and walking back to my room
