first day of school = done! i had to fight for my life to stay awake during math😭 i have a super busy day but i'm going to try my best to make this good.. is it bad that i have no idea where this chapter is going? SORRY
Makayla's pov
I had been outside for around half an hour now, just talking to some friends back home on snap

I see a little yellow dot appear..

Someone added me?

I click on it to see

"Vinnie Hacker added you say hi!"

what the hell?

I add him back since.. well it's Vinnie. He starts typing immediately, I decide to just turn off my phone and wait for him to be done

After 20 painful seconds my phone vibrates against my leg.. he sent a chat

"Hey Mick I'm really sorry about Mia I don't understand her sometimes. She had no right to say any of that bullshit to you, I saw you leave the house are you okay?"

Hi, thanks for checking on me it means a lot. I'm just sitting by the pool right now listening to some music. And you don't have to apologize for what Mia said it's not your fault

I walked past your room and saw your mattress deflated. You're not gonna sleep there are you?

I asked Alex for an air pump but Larray has it rn. I'll just make a bed on the floor and hope my back doesn't kill me tomorrow lmao

Dude are you insane? I have a big bed you can sleep in my room tonight if you want. I'm sure I can find somewhere else to sleep

No I'm not kicking you out of your own bed Vinnie don't be unreasonable

I take my feet out of the water and let them dry off before putting my socks back on

As I'm getting back into the house I see Calvin, Conner, Micheal and Patrick in the living room throwing shit at eachother. shoes, plants, pillows and their hats

children.

Conners dog comes running at me, I bend down to pet him

"Are these guys scaring you, you poor thing" I say joking around

Conner swipes the dog into his arms and shoots me a fake glare, everyone bursts into laughter

I remember vinnie's offer to let me sleep in his room, suddenly feeling excited. I wash my face, brush my teeth and grab my phone charger

I knock on his door but I don't get an answer

I make the decision to just walk in.. hm he's not here?

I realize he's in the shower and decide to just sit on his bed and continue to talk to my friends in our group chat

After another 10 minutes I hear the shower turn off, not long after the bathroom door opens and he comes out with just a towel hanging dangerously low on his hips

"Oh hey" he smiles

I didn't answer him, I couldn't stop staring
I just couldn't

My mouth was agape and my cheeks were burning

He stood in the doorway for a second until he started walking over to his dresser to grab clothes

"I can leave" I blurt out "um to let you change" I add

"Or I can just go back into the bathroom" he says while picking out some sweatpants and a black t-shirt

"No no I can give you space i'll come back later" I bolt out of the room and into my own slamming the door

holy shit. holy shit. holy shit.

I walk into my bathroom not surprised to see the redness consuming my face

I sit down on my half deflated air mattress which becomes totally deflated. The air was seeping out a little too fast for it to just be deflating from the pump

I search around to find a huge gash in the side

did somebody slash it? what the fuck?

My face is in my hands which are resting on my knees, they travel up to my scalp as I scrunch my hair in my hands

Someone knocks on my door

"Come in" i croaked

My throat dry as the desert

Vinnie's head peeks through the crack in the door

"Everything okay you just ran out?" he questions

"Yeah sorry I didn't want to make you uncomfortable" I explain

"It's okay I don't mind.. are you okay you look like you're burning up?" He teases as he walks over to me and places his hand on my cheek

"Yeah I'm good it's just hot in here" I try to cover it up

"It's actually really cold in this house, it always is" he states

"Come on, seeing you sitting on that shitty mattress makes me cringe" he grabs my hand and pulls me up

But he doesn't let go of my hand as we walk to his room

"My friends back in seattle want me to game with them for a bit is that okay?" he asks

"Of course I don't care, I'll cuddle with Hera" I say as she walks towards me on the bed

"Good luck with that she won't cuddle with anyone except... me" he hesitated watching her snuggle herself between my arm and torso

"Are you sure about that" I smirk at him

"Never mind" he turns around and sits in his gaming chair

After about an hour of me cuddling with hera I start to doze off

But not into a full state of sleep

I hear Vinnie whisper something into his mic

"Yeah guys there's a girl in my bed"

I hear loud screaming and cheers coming from his headset

"Shut up shut up shut up she's sleeping"

why is he telling them

"No she's not my girlfriend.. yet"

IM SORRY WHAT

"Yeah I do like her but she doesn't know that yet"

"Cause her mattress deflated"

"Well I wasn't gonna let her sleep on the floor"

He likes me? HE LIKES ME? VINNIE HACKER. LIKES ME?

Hera had gotten up after being startled by the screaming coming from his headset but I didn't realize

After a while Vinnie had laid down in bed

I was on the verge of sleep when I turned to my side and pulled "Hera" into my chest snuggling "her"

what do u guys think she's actually snuggling cause we all know it ain't hera LMAO
